Chrono Cross - Fragment of a Dream Orchestra

Another original piece this time. I just finished a massive project today so took some time out to practice composing. Post-lullaby-adventures in your sleep, battling dream goblins and saving imaginary princesses and all that jazz. It quite heavily feature's Orange Tree Sample's new Evolution Steel String library which I can definitely recommend to anyone needing acoustic goodness.

What The Forest Taught Me (Secret of Mana)

This is an orchestrated version of Temple of Time from Zelda Ocarina of Time.  I'd never paid much attention to the Zelda music until recently. I wish I had gotten into it much earlier as there's so many good pieces of music hidden behind 8bit blips and blops.

Anyways - the choir. Meh, I am a bit of a perfectionist so I'm never ultimately happy, but they were a nightmare to work on with this. Hopefully they sound ok to everyone.

Zelda OoT - Temple of Time Orchestrated

With this song, as it is a fairly short song anyway, i didn't have many original parts to build upon, so i have tried to harmonise the original melody and add my own chordal accompaniment in the brass and woodwind sections, and i think it was rather successful, but i'm open to any feedback and i encourage any criticism!

One of my favourite pieces of game music ever, from my favourite game ever, absolutely loved making this!
I tried to mingle a few different cultures in with this one as I think the japanese guitars and flutes work brilliantly with the austrian accordion at the start, and i tried to create my own harmonies for the strings and choir parts which i think work pretty well, let me know what you think!

Zelda OoT - Lost Woods

A quick remake of the Zelda Skyward Sword theme from scratch - Mostly to practice with instruments and otherly because it's a badass theme. I added a little touch of me and some choir, but I'll maybe reapproach this once it's out and put in a little more dummy-ness.

Some random facts:

• I've never played this backwards to know if the rumours are true. I'll investigate more soon.
• The sample libraries in this piece total up to about 2tb disk space and 23gb memory.
• I had to make it in 4 seperate parts and combine the rendered down wav files.
• It took around 3 hours from start to finish. A little longer than usual because the original piece is fully orchestrated.

Zelda Skyward Sword - Theme Reorchestrated

An orchestral cover of Dragon Roost Island from Zelda The Wind Waker. It might be a little too epic and bombastic to fit the theme and it loses the windy-feel of the original, but that's just how it turned out.

Zelda WW - Dragon Roost Island Orchestra

Here's an orchestrated version of the Dead Sea - Tower Of Geddon track from the second disc of the Chrono Cross soundtrack. It's an awesome soundtrack by Yasunori Mitsuda.

An orchestration of Mad Monster Mansion from Banjo-Kazooie. Grant Kirkhope's soundtrack for this game is really reminiscent of Danny Elfman's work, so I couldn't resist trying another track. I stayed pretty true to the original, but added little twists and turns here and there.

MitiS - Endeavors

Dirk Maassen composes wonderful short piano pieces inspired by contemporary composers such as Yann Tiersen and Ludovico Einaudi. 

I took on his invitation to record any of his piano pieces, and told him I would record 'Addio'... just to find out that there was no score! ... So after working directly with him the score was created and here is my take on it.
