OCR does Mario!! Super Mario 64: Portrait of a Plumber is the 48th FREE community arrangement album published by OverClocked ReMix and arranges music from the legendary Nintendo 64 launch title Super Mario 64. It features 21 tracks arranged by 16 artists that re-envision the original compositions of Koji Kondo in a variety of styles.

This is a track dedicated to a friend who helped me out during a very low point, and basically saved my music career from going into a coma.  The last few months of writing wouldn't have been possible without the push, I can't thank you enough man :)

With this track, I wanted to try an orchestral arrangement that was more flowing and sweeping, something I hadn't done before.  The original is so mournful and yet resolute, and I really wanted to capture that.  Still learning, but the departure from the rest of the music I've been writing lately was extremely cathartic.

Admission: I haven't actually ever played Dark Souls haha.  If you're a fan and want to chime in on how it fits the vibe of the original track, please don't hesitate!  I'd love to know where it stands.  Hope you enjoy!
