For the past few months I've had the opportunity to work with the talented teams over at 505 Games and Keen Games and composed the Soundtrack for their new game 'Portal Knights'. I'm excited to have the chance to finally share some of the music I've written with everyone and let you know that the full soundtrack (featuring an hour and a half of original, orchestral music) is coming soon!

KATAWA SHOUJO ~ Raindrops and Puddles (Piano Cover)

An original piece of music by Blake Robinson. This time it's an older piece brought up to date. This was composed for the Multivaders album for a sudden unveiling of a traitor amongst the 'good guys' - I used crazy violins and strings to try and make it dramatic sounding. This version has been remastered and extended from the album release. It has boosted strings, new melodies, a choir and more percussion. If you're interested in the full soundtrack, it's still up on iTunes/Amazon/etc (just search for Multivaders).

This is a free download to everyone so that anyone who has bought the album can get the updated version for free. Check out my other tracks as there's quite a few revamped/redone Multivaders tracks.

Multivaders - Traitor's Motif

This is a track dedicated to a friend who helped me out during a very low point, and basically saved my music career from going into a coma.  The last few months of writing wouldn't have been possible without the push, I can't thank you enough man :)

With this track, I wanted to try an orchestral arrangement that was more flowing and sweeping, something I hadn't done before.  The original is so mournful and yet resolute, and I really wanted to capture that.  Still learning, but the departure from the rest of the music I've been writing lately was extremely cathartic.

Admission: I haven't actually ever played Dark Souls haha.  If you're a fan and want to chime in on how it fits the vibe of the original track, please don't hesitate!  I'd love to know where it stands.  Hope you enjoy!

I've been tinkering with music since I was a kid, composing tunes for fun. Nowadays, I mainly write orchestral scores for video games. Alongside this, with an extensive career in the games industry as a tools programmer I've now focused my skills on developing next-generation sample libraries and music software.
