As @counterchange-inland, British artist Ed Davenport crafts forward-thinking techno rooted in clarity and tension. Now based in Neuruppin after 15 years in Berlin, Ed continues to run his labels Counterchange and Globuli.

Also known for his warm and colourful take on house music, explorative ambient electronics, and more recently for film scores and sound design for contemporary art, Ed moves across formats and contexts with a singular sense of detail, shaping music that resonates far beyond the dancefloor.

Reka Zalan is a Berlin based DJ, who is deeply embedded in the DNA of Berlin's landscape - as a Tresor resident since 2023, a Hard Wax staffer and a member of the Coppi collective. She has laid down her powerful and psychedelic grooves at legendary institutions like Berghain, Vault Sessions, Fusion Festival, Ankali and more.  

The mix dives into the depths of atmospheric, cavernous techno before propelling into the expanse of hyperspace as it builds with speed and intensity. A consistent thread of dense psychedelia is seamlessly woven throughout the entire session - an odyssey for those deep cerebral synapses. The mix moves forward, outward, and inward, balancing tension and flow - a voyage of duality: it’s both grounding and mind-bending, accelerating yet perfectly controlled. A complex, heads-down trip that perfectly showcases a master selector at work.

Hamburg’s Shimmy Robin brings a kind of precision that feels alive — sharp edges wrapped in warmth. With her blipmotif nights at Golden Pudel Club, she’s been shaping a sound both elegant and unpredictable, where rhythm turns into emotion and back again.

Her Monument debut at Backsteinboot was loud, fearless, and beautifully unhinged — a peak-time charge that hit like a rotating flaming whip, all motion and fire.  A set that burned straight through the night. Her first time with Monument, and definitely not the last.

For episode 242, we feature Sphinx, a Detroit-based DJ and multimedia artist whose path into electronic music is shaped by years of creative exploration and deep connection to community.

What began in a bedroom in West Michigan—while studying Fine Art and Illustration—has evolved into a distinct sonic practice rooted in Detroit’s rich techno legacy. After returning home in 2021, Sphinx immersed herself in the city’s underground, drawing inspiration from its enduring ethos of experimentation, resilience, and collective energy.

Her sound blends layered percussion, acid grooves, and Detroit’s driving pulse into mixes that are both introspective and physical. Influenced by early exposure to live jazz, spiritual traditions, and symbolic storytelling, she creates sets that move beyond the functional—toward the transformational.

From stages like Movement, Electric Forest, and The Great Beyond, to this latest offering for Blank Code, Sphinx continues to craft experiences that resonate on and off the dance floor.
