It's the early morning semi-acapella version of Teddy's House groove Good Morning Love. A beautiful little track but we all agreed there wasn't enough of it - needless to say
you can guess who drew the short straw :))

Not a lot to play with but have stretched it out a little and added some nice rhythm's.

I have been working on a couple of uptempo tracks recently but coming home after a hard days grind they just weren't quite coming together. Something I have learnt in the short space of time I have been doing this is that if you ain't feeling it, don't force it. Put it on the back burner for another day and go and do something completely different. So, I went and scraped together a few bits and pieces with the intention of knocking out a little 3 minute melody..............and ended up doing a 9 minute musical odyssey.......like you do!

This is a bit different and am very hesitant about putting it out there but thought what the hell. This world holds two very strange, mystical powers of persuasion. One is a good looking woman, the other is a downing a beer to many. I suspect it was the latter that twisted my arm!

Back to some beats.

Just a little re-touch of Johnny Britt's (who is one half of Impromp2) little 'Marvinesque' groove.

I have beefed it up slightly and smuggled in a few bits of the great man himself.

I could only get my hands on a 128k version of the original track so the quality isn't too brill I'm afraid .....Ok...that's just a pants excuse for my crap mastering!

This was just supposed to be a quick extended edit this morning to go on my iPod but got itchy fingers and ended up 
adding some flute, jazz trumpet and all sorts!

Peven Everett - I Just Wanna Make You Happy

A veteran jazz funker, I have been listening and collecting soul, dance and jazz for the past 35 years and is a very important part of my life. Inspired by listening to some of the great grooves, mixes and re-edits that are currently out there I figured I should do something with all the music I have amassed and which I love and adore. I have never DJ'd and what I know about music I could write on the back of a cigarette packet ( I know, I know, it shows!), but thought I'd give this a go. I'm into all genres of soul, dance and nu jazz and like to dust off a little gem which never quite made it out there and give it a fresh vibe.

I started remixing in August 2011 just fooling around on Garageband with just my intuition and a little help from Youtube to get me started. I am now working on Logic 9 and am trying to produce some of my own tracks as well as remixing.Not having a musical bone in my body can be a little frustrating at times so if there are any budding, or indeed accomplished, musicians, vocalists, 12 piece horn sections (!) who have a soulful or jazzy vibe that would like to do some collaboration work then I’d love to hear from you….as I would any mastering guru’s – Jeeesh, what son of a bit*h invented that!! :))

I am truly amazed I actually have a following here on SC and that people are actually listening and downloading my stuff. To you, I would like to say a BIG thank you for all your kindness and words of encouragement, and to those DJ’s on Solar, Starpoint, SoulLegends, JFS, Soulmine, Soulpower,Stomp JazzFM, Back2Back and everyone else that has been brave enough to actually  air some of this stuff – it means a lot!
