Black Light Disco splashed down on the myhouseradio.fm airwaves on Monday 26th July 2021 with Part 2 of our Project Bango takeover special.

Hosting the show from BLD Towers was our resident Goz, serving up a Smorgasbord of tip-top tunes to tickle your tympanic membranes into submission. 

Following on from last week’s superb ‘Project Bango Takeover Part One’ set by Paul Groves, the tag team changes hands this week with Lee ‘Evil’ Smarty entering the ring to provide the soundtrack for the second hour of the show. 

‘Evil’ is also known for a string of respected productions and has released chart topping singles on a variety of labels including Midnight Riot, Disco Fruit, Masterworks Music and Wall of Fame. With worldwide support from tastemakers and DJ’s including the likes of David Morales and Dimitri From Paris, his dancefloor friendly tracks always hit the mark, whilst his skills as a DJ are second to none.

As residents for Shade Disco they’ve played alongside Late Nite Tuff Guy, Dr Packer, Michael Gray, The Shapeshifters, Hifi Sean, Fingerman, Babert and many more, show-casing their versatility and talent to keep hands in the air and bodies moving until the early hours. Combined with their disco-fuelled Saturday afternoon radio show on Stream 101, it’s fair to say the Project Bango duo have proven themselves on both the mainstream and underground circuits and have the ability to raise the roof whatever the occasion.

We’re delighted to have Lee make his BLD debut to showcase his considerable talent and spread the Project Bango vibes on myhouseradio.fm

BLD 26th July 2021 - Project Bango Takeover Part 2 with Goz & Evil Smarty

The Black Light Disco show airs exclusively on the #1 house music station on the planet - myhouseradio.fm. Tune in every Monday from 2pm-4pm EST, 7pm-4pm GMT, 8pm-10pm CET. 

The idea of Black Light Disco became a real thing when a few like-minded DJs and producers came together to put on a night showcasing the very best in disco, house and funk and everything in between. Our ethos is based around a very simple concept: GOOD MUSIC, GOOD TIMES with GOOD PEOPLE. We announced ourselves on a gorgeous sunny Saturday in June 2019 with an all day and night party in Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle area. It was the start of something very special. 

We have a solid core group of musical talent residing in BLD Towers hailing from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and Italy -  providing perfectly cooked grooves and juicy basslines. 

The BLD team comprises of Esteban, Goz (Spin City), Pookie Knights, Cole Kutz (Opentempo.fm) De Gama and Fingerman (Hot Digits) – clocking up decades of DJ’ing and dancefloor experience between us. As individuals, the BLD team have been producing consistently high quality sets over the last few years. Now, as a collective, the aim is to make Black Light Disco THE place to promote new music and to bring you the very best in established/up-and-coming artists and producers in the sunlit uplands of sonic pleasure. 

In January 2020, we launched a weekly show on THE biggest house music FM radio station in New York, MyHouseRadio.fm (also available digitally at www.myhouseradio.fm).  The Black Light Disco Show airs every Monday exclusive to MyHouse Radio between 7pm – 9pm GMT (2pm -4pm EST), bringing you the finest in disco, funk and boogie; all delivered by our expert in-house Sonic Consultants (resident DJs) with guest mixes from the hottest producers, DJs and artists out there right now.
