“Three friends, Two turntables, One sound”

This is how In Progress, Willie Johnston, Paul and Chris Hughes, sum up their collective attitude towards the music they share a love for. With similar tastes in all kinds of music these three were always going to have a common understanding when it came to dance music. Willie, being the oldest of the trio, was the first to fall under the spell of house music in the early 90’s but it didn’t take long for the two brothers to follow suit. With influences ranging from The Beloved, nofx, Stereo MCs, Depeche mode and may more from when they were younger, they felt the natural progression was to continue into the dance music scene where they craved that little bit more, and found it. Djs they respect, admire and are influenced by include John Digweed, Sasha, Blue Amazon, Dave Seaman, Ian Ossia and more recently Hot Since 82 to name but a select few.

Not content with the mixing aspect of DJing the trio began producing their own music, culminating in the release of their debut track "The Contender" in the summer of 2013 through Riseup Records. Subsequent EPs, Slip-Slide, Hell on Heels and The Widener, were also released through Riseup Records, and its sub-label Deep Rising Records.
Then, to their delight, a chance encounter led to the guys being asked to remix the latest project from Blue Amazon, that turned out to be "Don't be afraid of Love" released on Blue Amazon's own Convert Recordings label. The guys have since released their "Magic Dimension EP", through Convert and have several other projects currently in the pipeline, among them, another remix of a Blue Amazon track, this time the classic "No Other Love"

Active members of their local music scene, the trio are well aware of the ups and downs at the lower end of the DJ spectrum. Having played occasional slots at local music festivals and nightclubs, the experiences only served to whet their appetite to continue on this path, the path to entertain the masses with their own take on deep/tech house journeys that they build their sets on. Theres only one way this Irish trio have their sights set on going and they wont stop until they get what they want.

Blease & Reeves is a new project that see's Cream & Creamfield's Legend dj Paul Bleasdale join forces with Big fist Records owner Andy Reeves. This duo have set there sights high and will be releasing music from house mainroom and some original vocals lined up ready for 2014.

Paul has his own productions already doing the business for Big Fist Records hitting number 1 in the trackitdown techno chart for a whole week back in june, with releases due out in september november and december the end of the year is looking like a busy time for Paul with gigs here in the UK also in Ireland and Ibiza.

Andy has got his timetable full at the moment working on productions for himself and running Big Fist events  and the label. Also alongside his T3CH-2 partner Daz Monaghan they are preparing for a new 2014 alias with loads of exciting productions already under wraps next year is to be a big 1.
