Seefeel celebrate their recent 94-96' reissues with an exclusive Bleep mix. A group with footholds in post-rock as well as electronica, the selections here are a masterclass in slow-burning transcendence, as Seefeel remain blissfully aware of the ilk they themselves inspired with their own genre-defining sound. Clifford’s own glitched ambient works with Oto Hiax make an appearance, neatly dripping into the off-kilter chill-out of Anushka Chkheidze and the belligerent synth onslaught of Blanck Mass. Near the tail-end, we reach a gentle simmer with works by William Basinski and Fennesz, before bringing the show to a majestic close with Earth.

" So this is my final mix-tape for the year, it's been fun organising, and very useful for my record box. Thanks to everyone who's supplied music over the past ever, whether via shops, promo firms, demo's or just dub-plate business. This years been quite intense for me with the label, and to celebrate the end of the year, I've organised and put together a label album featuring artists from the past, present and future. It's called "Evolution Of The Giraffe" and will be out pretty soon, so make sure you keep your eyes and ears open for the clips, CD's and Vinyls!

Adam Hajossy Dedic - Nature's Dialogue

OKO DJ is a core member of a few key collectives: the first is the Brothers From Different Mothers label she has been signed to, and the second is LYL Radio, where she heads up the Paris department and hosts the monthly Synchronisme ou Barberie with the Bruits de la Passion crew, as well as her own women-only show Pu$$y Nightmare. She is utterly diverse in the music she plays, which ranges from doom laden psych to 80s synth to cold body music via futuristic soundscapes. Mixing with a focus on vibe and feeling rather than scene or style, she is freed up to go wherever the music takes her. 

And so it is that her mix starts with an energised spoken word monologue then transitions to experimental beats, spooky synth tracks and jungle all within the first fifteen minutes. Dark and foreboding passages are often offset by more exotic moments of calming ambiance and for every frazzled synth and blizzard of drums there is a restorative dub moment to reset the mood. Such a series of highs and lows, darks and lights is not often found in the same set, and what’s what sets OKO DJ apart.

Originally a North London kid, Dexta’s new release is dedicated to the lands South of the River that have shaped his adult life. Brockley, Syndenham, Honor Oak, Deptford. The streets, buildings and sounds that have surrounded him as he fell in love and got married, turned his passion into a career, and found untold new friends and inspiration. 

Taking a trip down memory lane, the Diffrent boss unleashes two tracks from the archives. 
First comes ‘Tenz’, a dubbed-out halftime chugger with a sting in its tail. Like a Drunken Fist Master, Dexta’s signature wonky style is in full effect, landing a fatal combination of ungainly subs, below-the-belt bass stabs, and the harsh clang of metallic snares. As the track’s woozy elements appear to stumble into each other, they in fact neatly slide together to deliver the knockout blow.

On the flip comes a final hurrah from Conduct, the Blu Mar Ten Music-aligned duo who have now sadly parted ways. ‘Dissolute’, featuring Coma, originally featured on Dexta’s 2015 debut EP, ‘SE4’ — another love letter to South London — as a globular beats cut with a jittery footwork slant and wistful vox. Conduct’s sci-fi reconstruction chops, glitches and repeats like the controls of a malfunctioning spacecraft as it glides through deep space. Long sat as a secret weapon in the records boxes of a very select few, this is one for the Diffrent headz.

DIFF045 lands as part of a trio of releases from Diffrent’s core artists Dexta, Lakeway and BrandNewTrumpets, each in some way reflecting the past, present and future of the label to celebrate its 11th anniversary.
