Following the recent release of Pär Grindvik's (@grindvik)debut LP 'Isle of Real', Pär presents his 'Colours of Real' mix for Electronic Explorations.

"I've tried to capture some of the inspiration that I had for Isle of Real, selecting tracks from mostly the 90's which mean a great deal to who I am and which shaped the vibe of the LP, without choosing the most obvious ones. I hope that the listener enjoys it and discovers something from the era which they may have originally missed!"

The result is 60 minutes of dusty gems from the extensive shelves of producer and label manager Pär Grindvik, one who began his artistic career as the owner of a record store in Stockholm.

IT IS NOT OFFERED AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROGRESSIVE POLITICAL ACTION BUT AS A COMPLEMENT TO IT. I PUT IT FORWARD IN DEFIANCE OF THE BIGOTRY THREATENING THE FRAGILE CONNECTIONS THAT EXIST BETWEEN US ALL. I HOPE IT WILL BE AN OPPORTUNITY TO REAFFIRM SOME OF THOSE CONNECTIONS AMIDST A VERY DISTURBING SITUATION.

James Sigha resurrects his Faugust alias for ‘Parallel Rave Fantasies’, released this Friday 21st June. To celebrate the release we asked James to submit a mix for Bleep.

The Faugust project is Sigha’s place to experiment with his formative influences, leaning heavily on his early experiences with electronic music and placing them within the context of his contemporary production and sound design work.

His mix follows suit and traverses plenty of abstract techno, deconstructed pop and rhythmically complex paths. Something to get lost in.

I am a shadow , a being hidden in the dark who seeks a connection with the souls that inhabit this world and are there to listen!

No matter how fast the light travels, it always finds that the darkness has come before and is waiting for it.

Darkduction is an Artist Born in Colombia, away from a common world while building and going deep into a world full of Electronic Music and Audiovisual art projects. He began his career at a very young age focusing mainly on forging in the production and composition of electronic music, exploring and entering the most remote places of electronic music and finding his personal brand among a very experimental, Minimalist and Hypnotic Techno style. Always working under an anonymous figure in which he developed all the sound experiments that he could find and perform in depth and without skill in the techno genre with his other Akas and inspired by many artists who helped him find that point in the production in where I felt satisfaction for what I was achieving.

His music largely has very deep roots in the ancestral the mythical and the sublime reaching a sound that goes beyond the paradigms trying to find a direct connection with whoever hears it, as he says “I am a shadow , a being hidden in the dark who seeks a connection with the souls that inhabit this world and are there to listen! ”
