I wanted this to be the first track from Drive I shared with you all not because it's the biggest or the best, but because it's probably my personal favourite.

The album was basically inspired by a road trip I took with my wife from New York to Los Angeles last year, taking in Route 66 and numerous ghost towns, deserts, mountain passes, dirt roads etc, and I came up with the melody for this one towards the end, somewhere in the Mojave Wilderness as we finally made it into California, the setting sun of the West in the distance. A long way from home, and still fairly far from our final destination, but the end was in sight. And that's the moment the track basically came to describe. It isn't really a club banger, or a club track. It's just something I felt like writing.

Anyway - enough deep shit. Still feels slightly surreal to be sharing this body of work after waiting so long. More soon.

This is how Donovan/4myDAMNself describes himself as a DJ/Producer. Never too afraid to go too deep, musical selections ae his own therapy. Having grown up on a combination of funk, soul and rnb, all of these influences infused with a love for hip hop and UK garage. Donovan ended up with a very mixed spectrum of musical influences, all these translate into sets with beautiful synth work chunky bass lines, ethereal backdrops and the occasional vocal hook.
Though he loves playing in nightclubs and special events his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing songs together, as a producer he has found an additional outlet to express himself musically.
“For me, it’s all about mood and a deep, hypnotic groove… playing those tracks that get you tapping your feet and nodding your head without you realizing it, regardless of genre, tempo, style, or release date. “

Biography:

Music Expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent. The adventure of the emotive art epitomizes all that D'Phault is. A simple desire to let his music express what words cannot.

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa D'Phault was a self-taught pianist as well as connoisseur of the finest emotive art.Joining the Soul Candi Institute of Music at the age of 18, he desired to better his skills in music as an art as well as the production of it. 

Signed to Blindfold Recordings (Denmark/Barcelona), D'Phault's passion for his music can be felt during every live set. He has been working tirelessly in studio to refine his sound and gain more experience in the art. 

Playing alongside International artists as well as all of S.A's own Major artists in the past, his desire to spread his sound world wide is the fuel behind every beat, drop and emotively inspired bass line that is and will be released.

With a sound inspired by the likes of Noir Music, Mario Basanov, Rodriguez Jr. , Stimming, Pete Oak, Mano Le Tough and Bonobo to name a few.

D'Phault is developing a production talent based on the two key ingredients; heart and emotion to convey his passion through Music, To the world.

Fabio Folgore is an up and coming DJ, fresh on the scene. After years of playing small events and house parties, Fabio broke into the scene with the help of John (Eso Teric) from Their Highest Culture. Fabio's most predominant gigs take place at the renowned Randlords rooftop venue in Braamfontein. Since his breakthrough Fabio has played all over Johannesburg in venues such as VSP Lounge, Bullion Rooftop, News Cafe Bedfordview, Liquid Motion and Boksburg's beloved Nicci Beach. Fabio's main focus is on deep, underground, melodic house as well as deep dark techno.  2016 will be a big year, and Fabio is hoping to gain many more bookings this year and will be forming bonds with more Nightclubs and Event promoters.

Biography:

Rogerio Simoes (Jerri) is a Dj and aspiring Producer born and raise in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Music for Rogerio started from young tender age. very much into the old 80's and 90's music and slowly progressing through the years into Funky House, Progressive and Deep/Tech House. Aged 17 he knew he wanted to express his love for music and set himself a goal to one day move people to the sounds of his music.
Eventually filtering his love into Deep House sub genres (Ambient and Soulful House). Always bring in that European style and infusing it with the flair of Africa.

His influences have progressed through the years starting from the unique sound of Carlo Boa, to the soulful and delectable sound of Miguel Tavares as well as the sweet smooth sounds of Renato Rodrigues. All artists have contributed majorly into Rogerio's style of play and music choice. The unique ambient sounds and beautiful soulful base lines, always guaranteeing something new to offer to people. Priding himself on quality and not quantity, he is always striving to bring the people only the most unique and greatest sounds around.

2011 is the year when he kicked off his career playing on the roof tops of Johannesburg, playing along side such greats as Renato Rodrigues, and the THC (Their Highest Culture) Crew. His career is still in its early years but flourishing at an astonishing pace. Being self taught from the beginning has really allowed Rogerio to express him self freely with out restrictions, witch translates through his music.

In 2013 he along with Papa Sims Launched Blewbox Productions a Deep House production company specializing in Podcast, New music and Promoting Dj's. Blewbox has Featured the likes of Cody B, August O, Renato Rodrigues and many more. Follow on: Blogger, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Soundcloud and Youtube.

As a producer he aims to bring the most unique music to people to change their perception on what is the deep house genre at the moment and influence generations to come. But with a big dream he knows learning is part of every day life and will continue better himself with every breath. No matter how successful he becomes he always promises to remain humble.

"It's not about the numbers, It's about the music" is what he always says. So get ready for an long and amazing journey to show the world that different and unique is something to strive for.
