Climate change disasters and fake news are constant reminders of the impending doom for a better future for mankind these days. Sometimes it seems that all we do in the present will have no impact later - which is why we are so proud to present our newest EP from TR20. Their
soundscape is so out of this world and so interesting that we believe it will stretch much further than the present. When you listen to a track such as “Waar”, it’s as if a hand from the future grabs you by the collar and slings you to a different time era much further ahead where your troubles now are unimportant and non-existent. TR20 has created an EP full of intense, space-like wonder and we are thrilled to be on this journey with them.

Huachuma translates to “removing the head” (wach- meaning “remove” and -uma meaning “head”) which metaphorically might mean the death of the ego. The word comes from Quechua, the language of the indigenous culture of the same name in the central Andes. As Maxwell told us, “The name San Pedro was an adaptation that came as a result of Catholic contact via Spanish conquistadors.” This is fascinatingly similar to the Bwiti tribe in Gabon who use ibogaine in a syncretic Christian-tribal tradition; it seems that part of the Andean adaptation to missionary influence was to rename this sacred plant after Saint Peter, implying that the entheogenic cactus holds the keys to the gates of heaven just as its new namesake, Saint Peter, is said to do.
