Volcanoes spewing freshly bloomed flowers. Trees with roots in the clouds. These are the impressions conjured up by our next guest, who is an artist who works as much with imagery as he does sound. Cosmin Nicolae, aka Cosmin TRG, has been churning out sonic excellence for more than a decade. With a recent album on the illustrious Opal Tapes, as well as another one on his own Fizic imprint, he has executed his ambient foray with great success. Remaining aware of how society tends to break everything down for its own uses, he moves forward with an awareness of ambient's originally sacred place in the lives of those who have helped culminate it.  This awareness, combined with his nuanced production, made him a ripe pick for our podcast series. So open the window and create some new neural pathways with this splendid spring edition of UNRUSH...

In anticipation of her appearance at Return to the Source in Detroit this May, we are excited to present this set from Amanda Mussi (@ohmussi). Amanda is a pillar of the scene in São Paulo, where she puts on the Dûsk party. About this mix, she says "I did a combination of genres from my influences to my contemporary taste such as ambient, breakbeats, EBM, electro and techno mixing dark and also uplifting atmospheres, i usually love to play with variety of sensations and intensity in my sets."

Llegamos al número 21 de Isolation Series de la mano de Irazu. Nacido en Madrid, pero viviendo en algún lugar de Europa, su conexión con la música electrónica es solo un símbolo del expresionismo sonoro del autodescubrimiento para tratar de saber quién es.

Irazu define su trabajo como "Un espacio íntimo entre la tensión y la falsa tranquilidad" y nos deja esta reflexión sobre el mix que ha titulado como ‘110’: 

“110 es un número sagrado. La soledad es parte de lo que es.

La energía que representa el número 110 es ilimitada. Tiene una propensión a tratar a las personas de manera intensa.

La profunda resonancia es la vibración de la propia soledad, la base sobre la cual se genera dicha intensidad.

Una persona con el número 110 en su mente tiende a ser consciente de su relación inseparable pero independiente con la soledad.

La soledad es una resonancia de la propia vida, la vibración es la base de la energía representada por el número 110.

Imagina estar en una situación de soledad extrema, con puntos de vista, pensamientos, reflexiones y sentimientos generados por la propia situación.

He runs Recordstore Tunesville, nowadays no longer a physical store but merely on Discogs . DJ Zaxxon was the first organizer who invited me to play in venues, for which I am ever thankful. Later I was also able to return the favor to invite Zaxxon on many events I organized; I do remember one NYE where we asked him to play at 10.00 a.m. - good(morning) times !
