El Mundo (8bit/Bondage Music), real name Pim van der Burgt, has been dj-ing and producing over more than 10 years now. In those years he was involved in several projects, platforms and labels. All were ingredients for his international career up till now.

The music he produces is right from the heart and a product of his personality; warm and characteristic. As a DJ, El Mundo has an honest approach and fine feeling for the dancefloor with his dreamy, psychedelic, deep and groovy sounds. Driven by a genuine passion for everything he does makes him an artist who is always willing to grow and who is looking for new opportunities.

Once upon a time there were two wandering boys who felt like they had something special to say. Iranian by birth, Canadian by upbringing, they’ve had the urge to create their own bridge between these two worlds ever since they could remember. Equipped with nothing but their passion and love, they stormed the electronic music scene in Vancouver as DJs for more than 5 years. Now their story takes them to Berlin as a new chapter begins. 

Their names are Behnam & Mehran and together they are Madota.

Perfectly in tune with the summer season upon us, Islandman presents a refreshing sound from the shores of the Black Sea with this splendid sunny mix. Originally from Turkey, this brilliant producer started out at a young age and made his way in music by playing a traditional long-necked lute known as a saz. It’s thanks to this early relationship with music that Islandman developed the technique and feeling needed to handle farfetched rhythms, sounds and chants inspired by the flowering cultures of the Mediterranean Basin and beyond to blend them with mastery in his tracks and mixes. This eclecticism and understanding of music has helped him put together a wide range of melodies and musical styles which extend from enchanting edits of traditional Bulgarian sounds to smooth balearic disco. His mix is exciting and mesmerising, catching the mind in a gentle twine of melodies and rhythms. His perfect balance of percussions and electronic beats shakes and ripples throughout the track, and lifts you with ecstatic vibes. The mix goes on in a beautifully arranged journey set by the pace of your own inner dance, as if the concept of time ceases to exist and it’s just you and the music. History of August

In earlier versions of the Roman calendar, August was called Sextilis, the sixth month. It consisted of 31 days. It later became the eighth month with a length of 29 days when January and February were added to the year. Julius Caesar added two days to the month around 45 BCE. It was later renamed to honor Augustus Caesar in 8 BCE.

August is the eighth month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian calendar and is 31 days long. It is considered the busiest time for tourism because it falls in the main school summer holiday period. It is the seasonal equivalent of February in the opposite hemisphere.

August does not start on the same day of the week as any other month in the year in common years, but ends on the same day of the week as November every year. During leap years, August starts on the same day as February and still ends on same day as November.

Biography:

Cross-cultural sounds and influences are the calling cards of the Erdi Irmak protfolio. Born in the hubbub of cosmopolitan Istanbul where Asia meets Europe across the vast Bosphorous River, Irmak's rise to the higher echelons of the musical elite is as rapid as it is impressive.

Thoroughly immersed in the sounds of his Turkish homeland from an early age, a combination of "chilled out west and far east sounds" became the fundamental tenets of a musical ideology that has brought success across a wide spectrum of labels and genres. Proficient in deep, tech and progressive house, a further foray into electronica and techno has seen the development of a prolific talent.

Finally the month of July is here :)
It smells like holidays.
This month we wanted to highlight an international artist recognized for his productions and for his remixes.
We love to play his songs which bring a lot of warmth to our stories. 
This is Jose Solano.

Jose Solano is a musician, composer and producer born in San Jose, Costa Rica in 1980.

Solano’s love of music began when he was sixteen, where he tried new and different melodies with his first keyboards. He studied piano at the Yamaha Music School with Professor Jesus Castro, and studied singing with the famous Soprano Amelia Barquero.

This inspired the later development of a successful career in which he explores with different tones and textures of tribal and electronic sounds. He now works as a keyboard player with the renowned soloist Esteban Calderón while making his own music on the as well. He has shared the stage with important national and foreign artists such as the Spanish Russian Red, the Colombian Fonseca, and the Mexicans Jessy and Joy.

His own music draws influence from various artists, including Jean Michael Jarre , Depeche Mode and many more. This highlights his great taste for the electronic, and thanks to his multiple influences he manages to develop his original style with his own individual sound.

His most popular tracks include ‘Tambura’, ‘Marrakech’ and ‘Renaissance’ which all combine deep house electronic textures and beats to create an ambient and suspenseful sound which has come to be his iconic and unique musical testament.

Jose Solano’s music career is active and thriving. His discography already boasts 72 tracks and is set to increase even more. He has recently released a track called ‘Birds’ on SoundCloud and is currently working on an up and coming EP to be released in the coming months.

This experience and education all lead up to his most recent achievement in 2018, where he was nominated for an ACAM award for best electronic music producer in Costa Rica.

Jose Solano’s career has evolved with not only his own musical education and experiences, but his own natural musical talents.
