Cid Inc and Dmitry Molosh join forces on the 'Impending Storm' EP. Dutch maestro, Navar, provides the re-rub. 

Both respected players of progressive scene, Cid Inc and Dmitry Molosh have enjoyed exciting careers. Producer, DJ and Mastering Engineer, Swedish powerhouse, Cid Inc has releases on a whos who of labels and has played at all the leading clubs and festivals. Equally, Belarusian pioneer Dmitry has been trailblazing for nearly a decade and continues to have a gig diary taking him around the world. 

Opening with the title track, 'Impending Storm', the pairs unique influences find a perfect middle ground in subtle tribal drumwork. Gathering pace slowly over the first half with some nuanced layering, the track really fires off as the main break hits. With tension building throughout, the second half is trademark peak time. 

Next up, 'Coalition' takes a deeper path. Twinkling arps and rising pads draw you in as the percussive underbelly becomes more pronounced. Proper journey prog, the sonic tale they unfold keeps you hooked until the final beat. Finally, Dutch favorite, Navar reimagines 'Impending Storm'. Sub heavy drums and a skippy percussion framework clever sonic reconstruction, as Navar takes us down a dark, late night trail full of dirty synths and grimey intentions.

For the 30th release of Infinite Depth, no one less than Brian Cid (@briancid) makes his debut on the label. The American bred and Berlin based producer has a very impressive discography and shows his darker side through this ‘Rise To The Fifth’ EP. The collection includes three storytelling originals with terrestrial atmospheres, guiding you to an unknown dimension.

The EP starts off with ‘Alma De Monte’, which means mountain soul. Around the organic kick and percussion, spacious elements are taking shape. Throughout the track these elements are generating a rising tension, which gets strengthened by a screaming sound of the mountain’s soul. 

The next stop towards the unknown dimension is ‘Mar Adentro’. The intergalactic, but still organic atmosphere gives you the feeling of being surrounded by a world bigger than ours. The earthy sawing synth in combination with the trippy higher details, makes you keep your feet on the ground, but brings your head into that mysterious and infinite world.

‘Rise To The Fifth’ gives you that extra push into the unrevealed fifth dimension. A dimension which a human mind is not capable of imagining. The stronger lower part of the track and celestial aspects are creating this journey toward the fifth. When arrived an unidentifiable sound welcomes you.

Hailing from France, Hugo Cantarra has been a fixture of the house music underground for the better part of a decade. On the strength of early releases via Armada and SIZE Records, Hugo established a sound that was both memorable and club-effective, propelling him to subsequent projects via Anjunadeep, Cr2, Siona Records and Ultra; amongst others. Now a staple of the melodic house scene, the French artist has the distinction of racking up 41 millions streams and 1.5 million shazams, while remixing the likes of Danny Howard, Eli & Fur, Gorgon City and Technotronic, in turn earning the praise of Adriatique, Blondish, Camelphat, Chris Avantgarde, Kevin De Vries and Vintage Culture. Also a well-travelled DJ, Hugo has shared the booth with a bevy of top international tastemakers in Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Guy Gerber, David Guetta, Fatboy Slim, Meduza, Roger Sanchez and WhoMadeWho. A highlight and much requested track across Hugo’s 2024 gigs has been a rework of ‘Intro’ by The XX. This elusive sound did not go unnoticed as he quickly earned the praise of genre tastemakers Cid Inc, Eelke Kleijn, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren; while landing career defining releases via Balance, Sudbeat and The Soundgarden. Meanwhile, hailing from Germany but now based in Brazil, D-Nox has continued to thrill fans with both cutting edge music and enlightening DJ sets. Whether operating in solo capacity or as one half of D-Nox and Beckers, the German artist lays claim to an impressive resume, highlighted by releases on Bedrock, Einmusika, Sudbeat and his own Sprout imprint. Having previously worked together for Guy Mantzur’s Plattenbank imprint, Emi and D-Nox also took to re-imagining Underworld’s ‘Dark & Long’ earlier this year.
