My name is Quinten. I write songs and perform/record/produce them under the moniker ELECTROSMITH. I am a welder professionally, hence the name: welding is pretty much forging with electricity. My creative process works along similar lines, mixing the voice of physical instruments with digital manipulations. 
My work draws on a wide range of styles and artists, most notably rock n roll, blues, 60's pop psychedelia, punk and outsider music. There's elements of Velvet Underground, Tom Waits, Dwarves, Beach Boys, you name it. As you'll hear, it's not about the labels. Each song exists within it's own logic and reality.
