Already an accomplished composer and producer, crafting music and soundscapes for film and television, Gensi AKA András Genser deploys a trio of smooth and inspiriting cuts on the ‘Primavera 707’ EP.  The title track gets the remix rub from British brothers Decius.

‘Primavera 707’ is tinged with a gloss and sheen, and a pop edge, that stays on the right side of classy.  Heavenly melodies skit around an effervescent vocal, as Gensi distributes bubbly acid lines and expansive synths that elegantly crescendo.

Decius stamp their rugged sound onto the remix of ‘Primavera 707’, having impressed via releases on their own Decius Trax imprint.  Chugging drums and bags of mechanical funk are plugged into this re-rub, as the vocal gets pulverized, and a dark & sleazy tone is forged.

Further explorations into acid are mined on ‘Humble Brush’, as the wiggly worm forages around energizing chords and weighty drums, whilst ‘The Great Body Buzz’ glides across the cosmos with booming 808 beats and intergalactic electronics.

Int'l players is a new digital series which we have recently launched, with the aim to shine a light on some of the world's talented but undiscovered producers. This series is not limited to one genre or scene, we are going to be working with artists who produce anything ambient electronic to dance floor stompers. 

The first volume of Int'l Players features the French magician, NIOL, with his debut release De La Reconnaissance Pour Thaïs. 

Established in 2019, Rhythm Lab's focus is an independent record label and live music promoter. We provide a platform for home-grown and emerging international artists to thrive across Europe and beyond. Understanding that fans wanted more than just a single-sound label, their first release ‘RL001’ in 2020 made waves across the continent by bringing a playful fusion of Polish house and rough & ready UK breakbeat to the table. With the release securing plays on heavyweight radio stations like BBC Radio 1, NTS, and Rinse FM the stage is set for a big 2021 for the boys. 

Their second release ‘RL002’, coming this August takes listeners back to the founder's Dak, Nic, and Max’s home-roots, with a UK Garage, focussed compilation, featuring heaters from some of the best producers in the country & across the pond.

We have also had events planned with the likes of Space Dimension Controller, Big Miz, Holly Lester, Ceephax Acid Crew, and Frankie Stew & Harvey Gunn before the covid-19 restrictions on live music events.

Johannes Albert is a producer as diverse as they come. Comfortable across all sub genres of dance music from deep house to italo disco, in Italy they call him Giovanni Alberto. He's been praised by the likes BICEP, Gerd Janson, Lauer and the Keinemusik crew, and he's only just getting started. 

The Dancing Plague EP is summer music for summer people. Opening with the hefty, wonky basslines of the club ready; TPTS. Gravy Train is a combination of grooving bass-lines and disco drums, the end result is a solid dancefloor stomper. The uniquely titled Pachanga follows, abundant with nu disco and italo references. This is a real summer track, as the sun sets in the city ahead of a huge party, the one that will entice the shyest of dancers to move. Keeping with the off the cuff track names, the EP finishes with the dusty, sun tinged Rainbow Pan.

Blossom kollektiv is proud to present a fresh new release to continue showcasing the eclectic new direction of the imprint's musical identity. This time inviting Germany-born, Austria-based DJ and producer Conntex, for a proper techno EP titled “Sonic Seduction”. The four-track voyage takes the listener on a journey through many distinct but solid representations of the techno sound.

 

To get things started the release kicks off with “Serenity” a deep and dubby techno wonderland with pulsating beats, moving percussion and classic dub stabs that weave together seamlessly to create a firm foundation for the rest of the release. Transitioning into the next piece “Feeling of sublime” we are transported directly to the front of the dance floor with this straight techno groover. A punchy kick paired with otherworldly synths and funky percussion keeps the energy up, which is bound to keep the listener moving as if in a psychedelic trance within a strange new place.

 

Moving along to “Liminal” another deep techno-utopia catches our ears with a pumping kick drum that is paired with precisely placed percussion that keeps the groove moving with brute force. This paired with the occasional and clever use of minimalistic vocals is perfectly placed within the arrangement that keeps things shifting until the true surprise of the track comes at the breakdown. The brilliant use of the beeping of a heart monitor within the composition effortlessly bridges the gap between breakdown and the final arrangement of the track.

 

Wrapping up the release with the title track “Sonic Seduction”, Conttex delivers one more fresh flavor of techno. A sinister bassline paired with seductive and well-placed vox sets the mood for the track until the kick and tribal percussion comes into play establishing a strong infrastructure. The groove continues to build until the surprise dubby synths come to play at the end of the arrangement tying everything together cohesively and returning to the vibe created from the very beginning of the release.

 

To complete the package the EP comes paired with four stellar remixes to take the listener even further into the abyss of sonic auditory delights with remixes by Rydim, ALPI, D_Roots, and Egotot. Each remix presents an eclectic flavor of electronic soundscapes that perfectly round out the release, from deep techno and broken beat to slow experimental shamanic drum sequences that propel the release into an exciting new direction while keeping the spirit of the original EP.
