ok, it's been a long ass time since i've done a studio mix. as in about 5 years. seriously! true to my old skool studio style I had to do it impromptu style. here it is, "out of the blu 7". this one is mostly a kinda, sorta, rather chill dubstep mix. hopefully the making of this mix cleared the cobwebs off of my dex, and thus, more mixes will soon follow.

skirts and sunglasses - OOTB 7 - 1/2011

my name is bluchris. i've been djing for about 13 years now, but have been manipulating the musical experience of those around me since I got a panasonic boom box and package of blank tapes somewhere in the mid-80s. 
I began djing in the art bars and underground clubs of Portland, holding down many weekly and monthly residencies at such places as Saucebox, the 1201, Crush, Madame Butterfly, Tiger Bar, and Level. I currently live in Fort Collins and am the beat curator and resident friday night dj at luscious nectar where my sets travel through virtually every genre of music.
all of the older mixes listed here (pre 2008) were done with technics 1200s, a pioneer DJM-600 and regular old vinyl.
all of the newer mixes are also done on technics 1200s, and either a pioneer DJM-600 or a crappy Numark, but instead of just regular old vinyl, i'm using traktor scratch with traktor control vinyl.
