I wrote this song after an in-depth conversation with my mother who spent years searching for her mother.  It's in 7/8; perhaps reflecting the irregularity of relationships.

My father passed away today 18th Feb 2022. The last few months were particularly hard for him and he just wanted to die.  This song is one of a few I wrote as catharsis. Sometimes we can live too long when quality of life has gone.

"The original version of this song made Me who I am today: I heard #duranduran 's original version for the first time when I was 13, whilst doing homework at the dining room table, and was floored by its beauty.

By the time the song was halfway through, I knew that I wanted to make something as #haunting -ly beautiful, and set out to write #music and #poetry for the rest of My life.

This cover is a #homage to that ‘forever feeling’ -- of #dedication, and of the endless #devotion to My #musical craft. (’Till #death shall #music and I part!)
