Following their compelling debut ‘List’, which saw support from Sian Eleri at BBC Radio 1, French producer duo il:lo release their follow-up ‘Cesta’, out July 30. Featuring a soothing vocal amongst a bed of melodic plucks, ‘Cesta' is reminiscent of the chimerical atmospheres of Hiatus, Koresma, and Tycho.

Forming in 2012, il:lo have released on Future Classic, bitbird, Future Archive Recordings and Loci Records, releasing several EPs and remixing the likes of Panama, Jerro, Emancipator and CloZee. Characterised by extensive use of intricate sampling and live instrumentation, il:lo’s whimsical productions are inspired from the duo’s travels, taking their names from valued moments in their journeys.

‘Cesta’ is the second of three singles to be released on Anjunadeep this year.

Winds Alight is out now through Eyegaze. Two tunes that are a bit different in style from my other releases. I wanted them to be shorter, more concise structures that explored a set of variations from simple ideas.
-
For Winds, the piece grew out of a short recording of a friend playing a hang drum in India. 

For Alight, it was a small chord sequence that kicked off the writing process - going through different types of variation.
-
Central to writing these tracks was a theme of avoiding thinking about what other people would think about a sound, or what I think other artists would do in certain musical situations. I wanted to get rid of that - to simply have more trust in my own musical instinct. If I like it, I'll use it.

Following their previous Anjunadeep EP ‘Saudade’, which saw support from Annie Mac and Danny Howard at BBC Radio 1, powerhouse pair Alex Metric & Ten Ven are back with groove heavy club-cut ‘Qubit’.

The British pair individually boast an enviable back catalogue of high profile production credits. Having swiftly become one of the most highly sought after remixers and producers over the past decade, Metric has been called upon by the likes of Depeche Mode, Ellie Goulding and Gorillaz to give his signature spin on their tracks. While Ten Ven has spent recent years making a name for himself in the studio producing for the likes of Dua Lipa and Fenech Solar, he’s also been awarded a steady stream of tastemaker backing for his solo productions from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong and Annie Mac along with support from industry heavyweights such as Joris Voorn, Groove Armada and Skream.
