Beligerance As A Virtue

This band existed for a week, and here's the result of our three or so practices.  Two dynamic mics hung from the rafters, capturing the practice amps and borrowed drums. Vocals were overdubbed on the 4 track after lyrics were written.  It's not a masterpiece, but for what it is, it's magic.  Lloyd Benjamin played guitar, Rob McConologue played drums, Pete Normal played guitar and sang, and Jojo Paquin played bass and sang.  A couple months later, we played our only show, with Chopper on guitar(Lloyd had just been visiting), opening for Against Me.

Dance Party USA by Rhinestone Fury

Two+ years after the second incarnation of Malcontent disbanded, and nearly 15  years after first attempting to make music together,  we hung out one day and wrote this song.  That evening we went Mike Stanioch's house and he was kind enough to record us.  This was no One Take Wonder.  Probably more like take 17...

This disc compiles the recordings we did as a 5 piece band, along with the Living With a Rebel Girl / Me and McKenzie single, two live tracks, and a cover of I Found a Reason by the Velvet Underground that Neil recorded shortly before he passed away.
