I had this Idea that I was going to create a series of songs that felt like you where in place, like the not-too-distant past. Maybe while you were there you happened upon some city motel and spent the night. I suppose the songs are meant to capture that past and place that you haven’t really gone to. In a lot of ways, they are just rough demos trying to get that moment to happen. Again, I thought I would share it with those who want to listen.  

We Could Get Away

I travel a little for work, sometimes to these far away towns where there isn’t to many people. I feel that it’s strange to be in places you don’t know alone and for me it makes my mind wander. Which isn’t something that I want to happen, so I decided that I wanted to use these places to develop songs and try make something good out of the loneliness of it all. 

The North Stations is a compilation of songs that I made trying to tell the story of where I was and what those towns where to me. So, I began carting my guitar, harmonicas and my recording equipment around with me to these stations and went from there. 

I can say that the conditions I made these songs or any of my music really has not been ideal for recording. Still its apart of what makes the songs connected to me and the outback of Australia. I hope you find enjoyment in them.
