LORRIDI is a Power Folk/Viking Metal solo project by Jan Magne Garte. Taking inspiration from the sagas of the viking age and norse mythology, Garte creates vivid images of the old gods and warriors through his music and lyrics.

Born in Norway, 1971. At the age of 16, Jan Magne Garte played bass in different bands starting in the mid '80s. Growing in popularity and opening for some of the most popular Norwegian Rock bands at the time. By the early 2000s, Garte started expanding his repertoire by singing songs himself and switching from bass to guitar.

Around the same time his parental duties would start to take the focus from the music, and his career as a musician   took a hiatus for almost two decades. Now after all this time, his love for making music has truly rekindled and the old musician has returned. 

All of his music is heavly influenced by the songs of his youth, from genres such as '80s hard rock, heavy metal, thrash, but also taking notes from the next generation of musicians.

Garte also has another solo project under his own name. 
All tracks were composed, arranged, recorded and mastered by Garte himself.

Hello everyone. I'm glad you're interested in my music. I'm a guitarist. I used to be in a band, but that ended in failure, and now I write songs and play guitar for my own pleasure. The songs are born in my little room. After years of not playing guitar since I stopped playing in a band, I am now able to play here again and feel the joy of playing guitar and touching music again. Epic Down is a duo from Leipzig, Germany dedicated to the sluggish grooves and lumbering riffs of sludge & doom, started in 2021 by Mitzschi (guitar(s)/bass) and Fabian (drums/vocals).
Influenced by primal doom, drone and stoner, the sound of Epic Down is mainly characterized by solid downtempo grooves and rolling walls of guitars, complemented by slightly melancholic vocals.

With the release of their first EP "Equinox Pt1" and it’s sequel "Equinox Pt2" in 2023, the band stepped into the light of publicity.
After signing to Argonauta Records the band was able to celebrate the release of „days of oblivion“ as their debut album in fall 2024.
