The Seasons-Suite for Piano (2014-2018). The four character pieces draw their inspiration from the changing moods and colours of the seasons. Thus, the movements are mirrors and echoes of impressions, rather than program music. The movements, "Spring Wheather" and "Winter Wheather" are dedicated to kalle Mathiesen, "Summer Wheather" and "Autumn Wheather" are dedicated to Marie Ingerslev. The Seasons is recorded by the pianist Malene Thastum in 2018.

"Short Cantus firmus on a Theme for Bells" for Clarinet, Cello and Piano (2011) is based on "The Watchman`s Song" composed by late Danish composer P.E. Lange-Müller following composer and musicologist Thomas Laub`s stated notes(b natural-a natural-g natural-e natural). The tune can be heard every day at noon, 6 pm and midnight played by the bells of the Copenhagen City Hall. "Short Cantus firmus on a Theme for Bells" is commissioned by and dedicated to the Danish ensemble Trio Nord. Malene Thastum, piano-Thomas Lund Jensen, clarinet- Dorothea Wolff, cello.

Michael Bønsdorf is a Danish composer born in the city of Odense in 1965. He holds a master's degree in musicology from the University of Aalborg. In conjunction with his university studies he studied theory and composition with renowned Danish composers Svend Christiansen, Svend Hvidtfelt Nielsen and Niels Marthinsen. Michael Bønsdorf is a member of the Danish Composers’ Society (www.komponistforeningen.dk) and the composer´s society "Komvest".
His work has been greatly influenced by a vivid range of composers from J.S. Bach over Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, Francis Poulenc, Igor Stravinsky,
Sergey Prokofiev, Bela Bartok, Arnold Schönberg, Kurt Weill, George Gershwin, William Walton, N.V. Bentzon, Witold Lutoslawski to Burt Bacharach, whose works continue to be a source of considerable inspiration.
Bønsdorf's music is characterized by a clarity in form and poly stylistic expression. Further, his use of repeated themes and vivid melodic phrases give
his music a distinctively poetic and flourishing nature.
He has received various grants and scholarships, most notably: A work stay, granted by the Danish Art Foundation in Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris
(2001). He was also awarded a two-year start-up scholarship for young artists (1999-2000), granted by The Danish Art Foundation and he received a work
stay in Athens(2000), granted by the Velux Foundation in co-operation with the Danish Institute in Athens and a workstay (1995) in Umbria Italy.
He has to this date mainly written choir-and chamber music.
He is published by Edition Svitzer (www.editionsvitzer.com), Strofe (www.strofe.dk) and Capella Hafniensis (www.capellahafniensis.dk).
