Born in Chicago and today based in San Francisco, Ion The Prize has been producing edits, remixes and original dance tracks for 20+ years, and has been DJing out in Bay Area queer nightlife regularly since 2017, developing a confident, seductive & sex-positive blend of house, hip-hop, breakbeats & Hi-NRG dance that has earned him a reputation as the ultimate chameleon & communicator with the dancefloor. 

Ion currently can be seen DJing first Fridays at Folsom street leather bar Powerhouse and select Saturday nights at drag show nightclub Oasis as well as featured gigs at other popular SF parties throughout the year.

BOIGRL, the merging of two music soul mates, @djmsjackson and @iamskylarlove, fueled by UK house, Bass House, Jersey, bmore and underground Club music.  Together, they bring their high energy and queer dance vibes to club parties where old school rhythms meet future sounds on the dance floor. 

Skylar and Ms. Jackson crossed paths while DJing at queer parties in San Francisco and Vancouver Canada.  “We were spinning at the same parties and naturally fed off of each others sound.  We started playing B2B sets and that’s when we got the idea of doing a DJ group.  The energy and sound that we create is unlike anything else we've experienced.  With BOIGRL, we want to showcase that all across the globe.”
 
Separately both accomplished international DJs and strong advocates for female and queer artists in their communities.  The universe brought Ms. Jackson and Skylar Love together and they’re using it to create dance floor magic.
