World Above returns to 256 Recordings with a breezy two tracker, “Lost in Phase”. Track one enters a dense and bouncy drum machine ecosystem, prime cut for longer transitions and nifty beat juggling. Track two, Second Realm, offers up something a little moodier, with beach sunset sensibilities and flowing melodic lines. 

World Above is the lush side project of NYC producer Cofaxx, who has released several records and tapes on labels such as Nous Disques, Exotic Robotics and Atlantic Rhythms. This will be 256 Recordings’ third release and will be available digitally on July 31st.

All proceeds will be donated to "Friends of the Island" a non-profit that supports and brings opportunity to youth during and after their time in New York City jails.

Representative of an endless willingness to experiment and boundless creativity, we invited an artist who immaculately embodies this versatile and underground mindset: the hometown boy from Nizhny Novgorod a.k.a. Low Tape. As a producer, he has been unbelievably unstoppable lately, building a solid catalogue of underrated jams. First embracing the lo-fi house wave 5 years ago, his current sound has evolved into a leftfield lo-fi/electro crowned with a dusty acid signature. Always on a quest to push boundaries and deliver forward-thinking beats, he has his very own secret formula that makes his interpretation of dance music truly unique. No surprise that his productions have rapidly been appraised by top labels such as Nerang Recordings or Neoviolence.

As usual, his mix magically brings us in a mind-altering and hypnotic trip filled with nostalgia and intensity. The well-crafted vibes from Trinidadian Deep, Gemini or Daisy Glow are aiming to do colossal damage on both sweaty dance-floors and early night build-ups.
