Leeds based party On Rotation launches it’s record label with a LP from resident Adam Pits. His debut album ‘A Recurring Nature’, draws inspiration from time spent in nature with friends during a year when clubbing was an impossibility. Over the course of 8 varied tracks, Adam moves between club slammers and spaced-out introspective downtempo with ease, showing off the production skills that have made him one of the most talked about names of late.

Combining the unique style of his previous club EPs with organic sound design and his own classical cello background, the psychedelic sonic palette is reminiscent of long summer days foraging for mushrooms and other treats from the undergrowth.

What is it about dub techno that makes us love it every time we hear those syncopated, heavily reverberated and delayed sounds? Dub makes it easy to get lost in one's own thoughts; to explore the cavernous recesses of one's mind; to get lost and to let go.  And thus most dub productions err on the side of dark echo-y sounds devoid of melody, light and levity.  Well, Fluxion's Slide, released on one of the premier dub labels, Echochord, breaks that mold by anchoring the track in dub but infusing it with melodic elements, and a sense of fun and groove.  A groovy dub? or a dubby groove? Either way, the track makes it easy to get lost inside oneself, but you'll more likely find yourself tapping your foot than chasing the echo.

If you missed the original Secret Circuit album ("Green Mirror" 2xLP) which came out last year, it's been lauded as Eddie Ruscha's finest work and has been one of the label's best sellers (and some even saying the label's "best release").

To mark a year since its release 4 remixers were asked to re-interpret tracks from the album. As one would expect with original source material that ranges from minimal and space-y tech to properly drifting ambience, the pool of remixers (and the resultant remixes) are equally diverse. First up is Glasgow-based tropical traveller Kusht who turns the album's opening track "Undenying" into a trippy slo-mo chugfest. This is followed by Khidja's Andrei Rusu who takes on "Light On The Sand" which comes out transformed into a polyrhythmic Steve Reich-ian epic of stuttering synths and tuned percussion. The Froid Dub remix is as dubby and lo-fi as you'd expect from these two French dub-wave geniuses...and closing up is veteran Switzerland-based experimentalist Michal Turtle whose version takes things in a strange but familiarly emotive direction.

One of the most in-demand session musicians in Los Angeles, guitarist and songwriter Jay Gore has toured the world sharing the stage with such artists as Hilary Duff, Lauryn Hill, Michael McDonald, Michael Bolton, Bobby Caldwell, The Pointer Sisters, Keb’ Mo, Marcus Miller, Christopher Cross, Sheila E, Eddie Money, Lalah Hathaway, Rick James, Seal, and countless others. A gifted songwriter, Jay has written and produced music for hit TV shows, such as 90210, Miami Ink, American Dad, E.R., Party of Five and others. Jay's funky guitar playing and production expertise can be heard on albums from artists as diverse as Sly Stone, Stephen Bishop, The Veronicas, Siedah Garrett, The Matrix, Edgar Winter, David Paich, and Greek superstar Anna Vissi, to name a few. When he's not writing songs for hit artists, Jay's main passion is writing and recording his own original music. On Jay's most ambitious album to date, with the tongue-in-cheek title "Bong Water," Jay checks all the boxes from the funky to the sublime with a little something for every taste. For all the guitar aficionados, the album features five of Jay's stunning guitar instrumentals from the rocking title track which hits harder than a bong - to the smoldering guitar pyrotechnics of "Ibiza Nights."  Once again, Jay's velvet touch is ever present throughout.
