Australian live hardware-based duo Hybrid Man join On Rotation for a 4 track EP - ‘Overgrown Echos’ exploring their signature dreamy acid-tinged sound.

Fusing dub-style mixing and effects with technical finesse, their complex blend of sonic ingredients draw from ambient soundscapes, IDM, 90s trance, dubbed-out house, techno and more. Sprinkled amongst the immersive grooves, left-field sonic artifacts, environmental recordings and live improvised melodies provide filigree sonic detail, with each subsequent listen revealing new layers.

Turning ten today on SOULMEEX PRO with the dynamic DJ and music production duo comprised of Andreas Höpfla and Florian Vietz, who have established themselves as trailblazers in the contemporary house music scene. Originating from Munich, COEO is renowned for their eclectic blend of disco and house music, characterized by groovy, dancefloor-friendly beats, catchy hooks, and a distinct retro vibe reminiscent of the golden age of disco.

They first met in high school, bonding over their mutual love for hip hop and soul music. This shared passion eventually evolved into a profound appreciation for house music. The name "COEO" itself, a Latin term meaning "to unite" or "come together," encapsulates their mission: to create music that brings people together on the dancefloor.

Their tracks are filled with funky basslines, soulful vocals, and lush instrumentals, creating a sound that is both nostalgic and refreshingly modern. With a string of successful releases on esteemed labels like Toy Tonics, Razor-N-Tape or Shall Not Fade, COEO has solidified their place in the house music landscape. With 8 hyper-detailed tracks ranging from club-focused techno, progressive and electro to slo-mo downtempo, Lisene brings his A-game to an album sure to cement his place as one of the most exciting producers and DJs in the UK’s underground music scene. 

Created over several years with a perfectionist’s attention to detail, “Science Friction” flits between moods and sonic environments with ease while retaining the cohesion of Lisene’s inimitable production style. Despite being an album, this is still very much a record for the DJs, featuring heads-down club tracks and bass-heavy electro crafted with precision and a cinematic sense of scale. For the home listeners, expansive slo-mo soundscapes and cerebral synth odysseys float high above the clouds, with widescreen details revealing themselves ever further with each re-play.
