Berlin’s Hypersoft collective kick off their new label with a 15-track VA raising
funds for trans youth and a launch party at OHM.

The collective, run by Berlin and London-based DJs TPR and DJ TEETH, emerged onto the scene in 2022 and is known for balancing breakthrough and established artists from the new school of the progressive landscape with legends and innovators of the scene, a resident lineup that includes Cromby, Bambi and Bliss Inc. and guests ranging from Sunju Hargun and Spekki Webu to nd_baumecker and Jane Fitz.

Their first release as a label follows the same principle: Adam Pits, Angel D’lite,
Bliss Inc., Cromby, D. Tiffany & Dugong, DJ TEETH, Desire, Dylan Forbes, E-Talking, Eoin DJ, Frederik Tollund, Inner Zone, Kasper Marott, Lisene and Running Hot all contribute to a VA that represents the nexus point where multiple axes of the current club landscape converge. Futuristic neo-prog and razor-sharp tech house, heavy progressive rollers and massive dancefloor bombs, percussive acid workouts and lush, synth-driven HD prog, neo-trance vocal euphoria, feel-good house, dreamy breaks and UK rave nostalgia: It’s all here, colliding on a VA that explores the spaces inbetween and a vision of things to come.

Despite being an album, this is still very much a record for the DJs, featuring heads-down club tracks and bass-heavy electro crafted with precision and a cinematic sense of scale. After the huge response to last summer’s debut vinyl, we return the va series with more prog 90s00s flavours from rising talents around planet earth: Jeku, Tifra, DJ Life, B From E.Jeku’s opener sets the tone with its downtempo allure, featuring alien vocal chops and twisting acid lines that feel like transmissions from another world. A slow descent into the unknown, where rich textures and drifting melodies blur past and future. Following his standout release on Harmony Rec, Jeku continues to push boundaries with his unique, hypnotic sound.

Tifra’s track on B2 catapults us into a high-energy, club-driven reality. The relentless bassline powers forward, while otherworldly synths inject a sense of urgency that sharply contrasts with the opener’s reflective mood. Quickly becoming one of the staple names of the progressive scene, Tifra’s sound continues to evolve with undeniable force.

DJ Life kicks off the B-side with his signature blend of playful, club-ready cuts that effortlessly command the dance floor. Trance elements weave through the mix like echoes from another dimension. With releases on respected labels like Craigie Knowes, Dansu Discs, and Gestalt Records, DJ Life brings a fresh energy that’s both nostalgic and forward-thinking.

B From E closes the EP with a progressive acid track that feels like the culmination of everything before it. The 303s twist and spiral, while the bassline pushes forward with intensity, pulling us toward an unknown destination. Known for his versatility, B From E brings a unique energy to every track, his second outing on Neptune Discs.
