Our next release comes from a place very close to home, with our resident Lisene’s debut album. As one of the originators of the psychedelic prog-trance hybrid sound so ubiquitous within today’s music scene, the “Science Friction” LP is his love letter to the genre, as well as all of the various influences that have shaped his sound over the years. 

Created over several years with a perfectionist’s attention to detail, “Science Friction” flits between moods and sonic environments with ease while retaining the cohesion of Lisene’s inimitable production style. Despite being an album, this is still very much a record for the DJs, featuring heads-down club tracks and bass-heavy electro crafted with precision and a cinematic sense of scale. For the home listeners, expansive slo-mo soundscapes and cerebral synth odysseys float high above the clouds, with widescreen details revealing themselves ever further with each re-play.

“This album has been 15 years in the making and represents a culmination of everything I’ve worked towards in defining my own sound and style without letting myself be pigeonholed. I’m immensely proud of each track -  it really reflects where I was at musically while making this, while giving a glimpse into my future sound. This is a record that deserves to be played on the finest sound systems and hi-fis, and I couldn’t be more happy with how it’s turned out. Dive in and enjoy!” 

Combining influences from across the spectrum of dance music with a cinematic sense of psychedelia and his own inimitable production skills, “Science Friction” is sure to see a lot of airtime across the festivals, after-parties and living rooms of the world this summer and beyond.

Amniote Editions teams up with Mala Junta to release “The Collective Capsule” in celebration of 5th anniversary of Berlin’s favourite queer event.

“The Collective Capsule” is a celebration and tribute to the unique Mala Junta and it’s impact on Berlin’s vibrant contemporary queer scene as well as a reflection of the core principles of these two collectives, which serve as a mirror for the society we want to push forward.

The package features a 12″ vinyl record composed of 4 tracks from Mala Junta’s residents Hyperaktivist, Yazzus, DJ Tool, and D.Dan, as well as two compilations featuring Roza Terenzi, Jensen Interceptor, Mohajer, Peachlyfe, Francois X, Narciss to name a few..

The Collective Capsule Compilation Vol. 2 emerges on Amniote Editions on 15th September.

Fresh on DISCHI is Maruwa and Younger than Me’s Prometeo. Both based in Germany, respectively in Frankfurt and Berlin, the two exciting DJs and producers join their creative forces on this short but mighty three-tracker. Lovers of prog-house, trance and 90s sounds, Maruwa and Younger Than Me deploy their vast array of influences with this dancefloor-oriented project.
Prometeo is a classic ravey, prog-house tune, masterfully layering element after element to keep you wondering what’s coming next. So Cool kicks it up a notch, bringing in hard-hitting kicks, a bouncy bassline, and a magnetic voice sample. On Return of the Reptilian, the producers take the listeners to more technoid realms, working entrancing repetitive loops that immediately get you in the zone, and on your feet. Two powerhouses add their distinctive sound to the remixes. Australian DJ and label head Mabel twists Prometeo with her signature sassy bass sound, adding a new sultry, almost hypnotic dimension to the track. Finishing of the project is  DJ Babatr, king of Raptor House and legend of the Venezuelan scene who injects his mastery into So Cool, with a fierce, trance-inducing rework.

So happy to share the next vinyl release on Neptune Discs; this time with four heaters that take the sound even further. After the huge response to last summer’s debut vinyl, we return the va series with more prog 90s00s flavours from rising talents around planet earth: Jeku, Tifra, DJ Life, B From E.Jeku’s opener sets the tone with its downtempo allure, featuring alien vocal chops and twisting acid lines that feel like transmissions from another world. A slow descent into the unknown, where rich textures and drifting melodies blur past and future. Following his standout release on Harmony Rec, Jeku continues to push boundaries with his unique, hypnotic sound.

Tifra’s track on B2 catapults us into a high-energy, club-driven reality. Quickly becoming one of the staple names of the progressive scene, Tifra’s sound continues to evolve with undeniable force.

B From E closes the EP with a progressive acid track that feels like the culmination of everything before it. The 303s twist and spiral, while the bassline pushes forward with intensity, pulling us toward an unknown destination.
