This exclusive re-edit sees Freeride Millenium boss and respected DJ/producer Jorkes reinvent a cult gem from German language queer band, Rosenstolz. Rosenstolz were a Berlin duo operating through the 90s and 00s and this song, ’Sex Im Hotel’ brings together their sex positive attitude with a real feel for their political outlook. This is something that obviously resonates with Jorkes, a continual crusader for sexual and social positivity and a much loved face in Europe’s queer music scene. Jorkes’ Freeride Millenium label has been a beacon of quality music over recent years with contributions from the likes of Benjamin Frohlich, Hard Ton nd_baumecker, Rotciv and many more. The imprint was also behind the charity compilation ‘Queer Base’ which was hugely critically acclaimed and raised money for the charity of the same name in Jorkes’ adopted home of Vienna. For this Rosenstolz remix, Jorkes twists up the original in sea of squelchy acidic lines, providing a perfect new sound-bed for the distinctive vocals of Rosenstolz’s AnNa R.
