Bombis Records Marks 90th Release with the Dark, Groove-Driven 'Something Is Off' EP by Paul Donton & Rob Pearson

Bombis Records celebrates a major milestone with its 90th release, the Something Is Off EP, crafted by label head Paul Donton and his long-time studio collaborator Rob Pearson. With this release, Bombis continues its tradition of delivering innovative, genre-blurring sounds that explore the darker corners of electronic music.

The EP presents four unique takes on the title track, each adding a different layer of tension and groove:

Something Is Off (The Maersk Project Mix) - The Maersk Project delivers a compelling remix that blends deep house and techno influences, showcasing their trademark emotive, genre-defying sound. Their contribution adds a unique layer of depth, making it a standout on the EP.

Saudi selector and LYMM co-founder, Majid has become integral in the Middle East community. He has grown in tandem with cultural happenings in Saudi Arabia and further afield where appearances at the likes Club der Visionaere, Studio Stereo, Soundscapes, Fabrika Festival, and closer to home, the Beast House series are becoming the norm for Majid. 

Having performed at our last two Saudi editions alongside Beast House, Majid exemplified the deeper aspects of house and techno while still keeping things fresh. We couldn't wait to welcome him to our mix series and he has delivered a recording that doubles down on the impact of these live performances. Shimmering deep house bleeds effortlessly into dub flecked percussive numbers, and with the mix peppered with attitude soaked vocals this mix slaps as much at dawn as it does at dusk.

Having been part of Liverpool’s scene for over 15 years, Aly’s journey continues to evolve, from shaping Off:peaK’s dance floors to taking her sound to some of her favourite parties. 

This mix brings together selections from her set before handing over to Sonja Moonear at a recent Off:peaK event, alongside other tracks that have soundtracked her year. The result is a deep, driving journey through minimal grooves with touches of electro.. moody yet soulful and grounded.
