Label boss Demuir returns to the label to showcase 3 original track and 1 DUB to show his artistic range and the exact vibe of the label.  The title track, Stop Your Mind" is not for the predictable.  The track's thicc bass and beats have a rolling bass driven aesthetic from start to finish guided by a vocal instructing your audience to let go and "Stop" overthinking and just breathe.

The next layer jumps over to a stripped down Jackin' groove with more audience interaction that check in on how people are feeling with Demuir's signature drum work and swinging bassline carried by ballroom vocals.  A Dub version of this one is included to spark creativity in your set.

Butter Gruv closing out the EP with a groovy jazz vibe contrasted by sound bwoy vocals riding through and through.  Enjoy this one:

This piece was crafted as a sonic tribute to the introspective atmospheres of Depeche Mode and the melodic architecture of Tuxedomoon. Built around a foundation of dark synthesizers and immersive textures, the track unfolds like an emotional narrative suspended between analog nostalgia and digital precision.
Hi-hats are treated with ping pong delay and subtle modulated reverb, creating a sense of spatial movement and rhythmic fluidity that enhances the tension during the breakdown and drop. Melodic lines evolve slowly, weaving through minor scales and open harmonies, echoing the avant-garde spirit of early electronic pioneers.
The result is a track designed not just to be heard, but to be felt a dialogue between shadow and light, structure and spontaneity.

Although only marking its seventh release here the Cuttin’ Headz imprint has carved out quite the reputation already with its most recent output, a collaboration between label-heads Martinez Brothers and Miss Kittin garnering huge support from both underground and commercial tastemakers. Here though we see the label reach out to one of underground house music’s most revered producers, namely Luke Solomon, co-founder of The Classic Music Company alongside Derrick Carter and a name synonymous with raw, authentic and soulful electronic music.
The Vocal Mix of ‘Script kicks things off and sees Solomon deliver a typically unique take on modern house music via crunchy rhythms, deftly flowing bass sequences and an ever-evolving dynamic while Nick Maurer’s murky vocal stylings are intricately processed to further fuel the tripped-out hypnotic feel of the record. ‘Beats Work’ follows and lays the focus on bumpy percussion, a heady 303 lead, sporadic synth fills and a hooky vocal lick to create an understated dance floor workout.
Atlanta’s Byron The Aquarius turns in a dreamy interpretation of ‘Script’ to follow, employing mesmeric bell chimes and soft atmospherics to swell around the foundation of the original composition before New York’s Filsonik strips things back to the core his rough and ready 808 led rework. The package is then closed with a ‘Long Time Dub’ from Luke focusing solely on the driving energy of the record.

Christian Burkhardt and Daniel Roth land on the Do Not Sleep imprint with a stack of exceptional and tasteful house cuts via their 'Banana Republic' EP, which comes complete with a stripped-back, driving and pumpy late-night night house remix by Fabe. 

The 'Banana Republic' EP is set for release April 19.

Brett Johnson's sound is best known as groovy, bumping house with a hearty dose of techno elements, crafted and mixed in a way that is truly identifiable as his own. Whether DJing or creating music, his wild card is an ability to inject warmth and soul into his electronic sound. The result is an impressive discography filled with unique statements, otherworldly surprises, and undeniable club stompers.

Releasing his first record in 1999 on the now-defunct, Aesoteric Records, Brett has released over 100 records and remixes for some of dance music's best labels. The list includes Classic Music Company, Freerange, Crosstown Rebels,  20/20 Vision, Get Physical, Visionquest, Magnetic, Cynosure, Edible, F-Communications, Seasons; the list goes on and on. Aside from a busy remix schedule, Brett is currently releasing his own music on the labels Classic Music Company, Cynosure Recordings and a select group of labels.

Brett's DJ'ing career has had an amazing trajectory over the past couple of decades. He's traveled the world spreading his musical might to revered nightclubs and festivals like fabric in London,  Panorama Bar in Berlin, Rex Club in Paris, Smart Bar in Chicago, Cocoon and the list goes on. Festivals include Scotland's legendary T In The Park, both the 10 Days Off and Dour festivals in Belgium, Les Rencontres Trans Musicales in France, Solar Festival in the Netherlands, together with tours throughout Asia, Australia and beyond.
