Basement Freaks has partnered with Concord Audio for their second collaboration ‘New York Flash’! This legendary collection is loaded with pure 70s sounds, that will inject some soul into your music. Heavily influenced by the New York House music scene and the world famous disco club, Studio 54 (think Quincy Jones, Giorgio Moroder). This pack brings the best of both disco and house to keep the hits flowing one after another.

Packed with over 1 gigabyte of funky sounds, this massive library includes swinging keys, energetic basses, punchy drums, and expressive guitars.

These lively sounds were played by 3 professional Jazz musicians from Hamburg while improvising under the direction of Concord Audio Don “Felix and his good friend DJ Suro (Pioneer Funk & Hip Hop Dj & Producer from Hamburg). Recorded in the studio with top of the line microphones on an ADT (German SSL) with outboard gear, the best of Solid State Technology. These sessions were then delivered into the hands of Basement Freaks, for his expertise creative touch.

Basement Freaks has been one of the top players in the international Disco Funk scene since the 2010’s, when they headlined Saturday night at Shambhala Festival. With a reputation as one of the most prolific bootlegers, expertly producing over 300 mashups and gaining over 5 million plays and numerous downloads. Basement Freaks clearly knowns how to select the perfect samples to make a hit track. Boydex is back, and this time he’s brought a few funky family friends along for the ride!!

He kicks off joining forces with the legend Pecoe and new face Sully Sax to bring you ‘Push it’. This combo is perfect, and can’t get funkier, with smoooooth sax skills, stabby vocals a rolling bassline, and guitar riffs making those feet shuffle all the way through.
Next up is the title track, ‘Funk Fam’. This drops the tempo, for a bass heavy hip hop stomper celebrating the family that is FUNK!!
Now there are certain names synonymous with electric funk tracks, and Stabfinger is one of them. Boydex and Stabfinger are a perfect combo, creating a track filled with so many bass styles, yet strung together perfectly for a “hand-in-the-air" funk banger designed for nothing else than to ensure you’re glued to the dancefloor.
Now the party is going, why not add another ‘Party’ to the list. This keeps the vibe going, with its uplifting horns, flowing guitars and bass, as well as a few cheeky vocal stabs and raising strings to keep you in it.
To finish off, Boydex gets old skool funky with ‘Ease Your Mind’. From the moment you hear that flavaflav sample, you’re sucked into a world of soulful vocals, a deep rolling bassline, sax stabs and guitars to keep your groove going til the end!

Italian producer Freedust is all about the funk-soul and the breaks blended with some lighthearted vocals that makes a sound that&rsquo;s is both classic and new. The sounds of Freedust is just the type of music we can&rsquo;t resist here at BBP - so when Mako &amp; Mr Bristow brought forward their epic big beat remix of My New Sunglasses - we did not think twice to get all over this project.
To complete the package we brought in 2 veterans in the funky breaks scene: BadboE &amp; Dj B-Side to do their funky thing on a party-breaks remix.
My New Sunglasses is the title track of Freedust&rsquo;s debut album from 2021 by the same name and features some classic grooves and some sweet vocals from Swedish singer Lisa Widmark.
On the remix front Mako &amp; Mr Bristow has captured the essential samples of the original and added some big bouncy beats and made it their own. BadboE &amp; B-Side has brough the track to the dancefloors with some ghetto vibes and human beatbox beats.

Founded in 2004, the simple principal was delivering the funk with engaging music that always rocks the dance floors, regardless of genre. Started by two of the label's key artists, Mooqee & Beatvandals, each release had to be a bomb! This ethos continued throughout the initial vinyl based volume series and as the label evolved alongside the changing digital landscape, helping to develop a global funk and mid tempo scene along the way.

It's crazy to think how much the label has grown and now works with artists and partners from around the globe. Alongside individual artist releases Bombstrike is also home to the much loved Funk n' Beats, Disco Funkin' and Bass Funk compilation series, with guest curators helping the listener discover new music or unearth forgotten classics.
