"As Time Goes On" was one of those tracks that you FEEL when you're writing it. It was written about the lingering feelings and experiences of the past, and how they gradually fade into emotionless memories as time goes on. It was written about how art and opinion fade and dwindle as time goes on. It is, by definition, how it feels as time goes on.
