Omni Music welcomes another newcomer, the drum-tastic Trice, with an EP of 90's inspired atmospheric beats. Journeying starts the adventure with a plethora of breaks, discreet arpeggios and ethereal vocals as it travels in and out of different aural destinations. The title track Orchestra of Atoms is a stunning melting pot of tribal drums, modern breaks, ever-changing melodies and mesmeric pads that delve deep into a far off musical universe. Oceanic starts with delicate jazz funk notes before the stepping beats begin the sonic flight into funk-driven bliss. The EP ends on the jazz-tinged sounds of Weightless with skipping breaks and driving bass, an outstanding example of how to capture the mid to late 90's sounds but with a distinctly modern slant. We hope to hear more from this new talent again soon.
