As a devotee of nature, Atoloi explores sound creating a mellow amalgam of layers using echoing synths, processed field recordings, and self-created samples; all mixed in a lysergic experience of heavy-grained noises and evocative instrumental compositions.

Not sticking only to club-oriented sonorities, instead, his productions and mixes search for other depths, in which the listener can get lost in a dense "no boundaries" journey between the worlds of dance and meditation.

A selection of mixes from our Saturday programme in the 24hr Relaxation Station at Floorless Festival.

These mixes were specifically made for sore legs and tired minds, helping punters to take a moment away from it all throughout the weekend. Big thanks to the Floorless crew for the opportunity, it was truly one of the most fulfilling experiences we've had at an event.

The magic of the tent wouldn't have been nearly as good without the amazing light installation by Metic, who leveled things up in a serious way with his Ripples II installation - something we'll never forget.

Big thanks to Edie Medley for the beautiful artwork, and to all the DJs who contributed.

While I used Voltage Modular to control everything I did an experiment and rather than generating any actual sounds I converted the sequenced and generative control messages to MIDI and routed them to external synths. As part of this I was able to take my own input and convert it into playable "Sparkly" bursts.

Synths used:
Omiharp - Puremagnetik
Aperuit - Puremagnetik
Speldosa - Klevgrand
Miniverse - Cherry Audio

The output of each then routed to various delays, filters and reverb effects. 


Although the only things recorded were MIDI information and mixer automation the track including note probabilities and velocity modulations, is as performed  apart from a little trimming for time.
