Mister Twister is one of the founding members of Bern Bass Podcast and started collecting vinyl and dj-ing in 1993. Originally a Hip Hop-Head,he eventually got bitten by the Drum&Bass bug in the early 2000s. With his brother Simstah he released a palette of tracks as Konfront.Audio, whilst DJing at major Swiss events.
In 2018 he started his solo project as Mister Twister and is working on tracks and is active behind the decks. For this Christmas Special, he put together a mix of new but also classic tracks. Musically somewhere between Downbeat, Trip Hop, Rap and Dubby vibes. Enjoy your festivites!

To celebrate the official arrival of the summer I decided to focus on the soulful, melodic, jazzy and funky side of liquid for EP61. I went browsing through the archives and pulled out some older gems to dust off and combined with some brand new promos, I made some sprawling playlists covering those sounds. I was pretty pleased with how the session turned out. Played some funky cuts, some soulful joints, plenty of horns, rhodes pianos and general feelgood sounds. Ended with a bit of jungle. 2 hours flew by super fast; had great time choppin it up with lotsa homies in the chat. Big s/o to all Liquid Lounge Lovers out there.

Elliot Payne aka Madcap started DJing in the early 90's after being exposed to music since his early childhood, being brought up in a musican family. In 1995 he started working at local record shop Buzz Records in High Wycombe and witnessed the worldwide explosion of Jungle D&B. 
In 2002 he won the Movement / Technics DJ Competition which led to more and more bookings throughout the UK and to promoting his own local events featuring artists such as Goldie, Randall, Nookie and Break to name but a few.
Since 2006 Madcap has had an impressive run of releases on labels such as LTJ Bukem’s Good Looking Records, Randall’s Mac II, Liquid V, AKO Beatz and Soul Deep amongst others. Furthermore, he remixed several classics such as the seminal 1993 Moving Shadow classic ‘You Got Me Burning Up’ and Nookie's sparse jazz hardstep lovechild 'Drum, A Bass & A Piano’.

In 2013 Madcap relaunched the pioneering jungle label Creative Wax which is co-run alongside his old friend, legendary DJ Pulse. Together they have released several new tracks, selected back catalogue on vinyl as well as new and retro merchandise.

2015 saw Madcap begin his monthly ‘Creative Wax Show’ on http://futuresoundsradio.com where you can catch him on the last Sunday of each month playing fresh new D&B, Jungle & Old School. Other recent studio projects include working with artists such as Furney, Digital, Jaybee (Mac II), Paul SG (Jazzsticks) and many more to come.

Boom Boom Bean Selecta is the feline DJ’ing Alter-ego of street artist Leonie Rhodes. They bring decades of international raving experience to the Australian dance floor. Mixing creatively, intuitively, and intellectually, BBBS creates tightly mixed dance floor experiences across 4 decks. Bean Selecta grew up in South East London and was a child of the Jungle movement, they witnessed the birth of Breaks, Dubstep, Drum and Bass, Garage and the culturally transformative power of the House music generation. 

Bean Selecta's sets are laden with heavy bass lines, serious London grit, groove, nostalgia and radical storylines. Their musical and event production work attempts to dissolve the boundaries between performance art and underground rave culture and loosen the performer and audience divide. 
Bean Selecta collaborates with musicians, projection artists, digital painters, graffiti writers, performance artists, Butoh practitioners and contemporary dancers and encourages participation of the audience to try to create experiences of mutual and collective joy.
