I love trip hop! When I was DJing on the playa this year I decided to go back to some of my really old favorites. you never hear enough trip hop on the playa. and then it seemed like the universe decided to support that decision, because as soon as I threw on a track by Kruder & Dorfmeister, this dude who was probably nearly 40 came straight up to me and thanked me for putting on some truly good trip hop. this inspired me to work a bit from my earlier musical roots and make some trip hop of my own. coming out soon!

VALE returns to its origins with the Autism Awareness fundraiser compilation Awareness Vol. II. This Bandcamp driven charity release was available in full on World Autism Awareness Day. All proceeds were donated to the charity, Music for Autism. The artists and label are honored to dedicate our time and effort to the community and improving the lives of others.

Awakened on the beachside in hazy repose, we gaze at the transient hues of the horizon sky ‘Sundowning in Blue’, a brief calm before being launched into an unexpected storm of rushing hyper glitch infused mecha-neuro grooves with sweltering sonic waves.  The sultry climate of this track, distinct latin instrumentation and raucously delightful breakdowns are enough to make anyone down their martini, deposit their monocle and commence to get their freak on.

A new adaptation of my collaboration with @winifred-sc

I wanted to achieve something different with the Lunar Edition of Orbit that I didn’t with the original. In the original song, I tried to convey the visual imagery that you’re alone in space with a mission far away from the person that you want to be with, however you are travelling so much and have remained occupied by all the tasks you have to do. With the Lunar Edition, I really wanted to focus in on the feeling of loneliness and isolation by imagining that you have landed on the moon and you’re looking back out at Earth where you know that person is that you long to be with, it’s a visual metaphor for the distance created between you two physically and emotionally.
