Experimental / Black-Hewn Indie-Pop. David and Singer have been playing music together for over 8 years in Austin Texas (notable past projects include Red Leaves). Bitter Birds is their first time playing strictly as a duo. In late May of 2013 the couple recorded 6 new tracks, which will be mastered and released by October of this year.

They’ve been in groups together since the early 2000’s, but Born Twins is their most recent endeavor, with Mayberry taking the lead on guitar and vocals. 

“Born Twins” is a reference to Philip K Dick‘s early-’70s existential exploration of reality and personal identity, A Scanner Darkly, in which the main character becomes aware of his mind being two distinct halves, processing information separately at the same time.
