Berlin:Detroit - a musical alliance that resonates deeply with electronic music lovers around the world and has done for the past two decades. Add Belfast to this equation and you have Irish duo Psycatron who have dropped releases on both sides of the Atlantic through Carl Craig's Planet E Communications from Detroit, as well as Berlins' Tresor imprint, while also finding time for the odd excursion on the likes of Scuba's Hotflush Recordings, R&S Records, Cocoon and their own upcoming Inflyte Records, which alongside being a home for their own output, is set to feature material from the likes of Francesco Tristano, Dave Clarke and Kirk Degiorgio in it's opening year.
Their touring schedule has followed a similar global trajectory, touching down everywhere from Fabric to Berghain, The Rex Club and Barracca, to Movement Festival in Detroit, I Love Techno in Belgium and many more of the best clubs and festivals worldwide. In between tours they continue their long-standing residency at Ireland's longest-running techno institution, Shine in Belfast.
With musical influences ranging from Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk to Underground Resistance and Jean Michel Jarre, it's easy to see where the raw emotion, tension and energy prevalent in their music stems from. Being born less than 12 hours apart and subsequently growing up hitting the same techno parties in Belfast, is another common bond that has helped shape the Psycatron sound, where the past clearly influences the future but has an entirely different slant on it.
Touring with Carl Craig and Planet E, ending up on Fact Magazines Top 50 Tracks of the year and performing on London's infamous Boiler Room TV are some of the recent highlights of this duos career who among their fan count you'll find the likes Depeche Mode's Martin L Gore, Francois K and Dave Clarke.

Depuis 2010, OuD!n13 & Dave-G, 2 frères passionnés de la musique électronique s'envolent en duo pour essayer de se compléter mutuellement. Par manque de temps, la G-prod s'évade au plus vite en créant des projets live.. Avec du recul et plus de temps pour la collaboration, ils proposent depuis fin 2011 une nébuleuse d'influences basé principalement entre la musique électronique et le dub.

In 1995 Rough Cut records was brought to life by Jamez. In 1994, Jamez already started Touché records together with Dobre (Chocolate Puma, The Good Men). Where the Touché sound was more tech house, Rough Cut gave Jamez the possibility to experiment more with the harder sound of techno. Minimalistic, acid, distorted breakbeats, but always with a touch of soul and warmth. Sometimes difficult to classifie, but that didn’t stop DJ’s. With limited pressed vinyls it found it’s way in record cases all over the world. 
Among Jamez's mind wobbling solo techno experiments, other strange projects like Boom! (by Laidback Luke) and Pitch Black (by DJ Paradise and John Consemulder) and the best selling project The Electric 10 ( by Jamez and Jerry) with over 5 releases, saw their music pressed on vinyl. The Electric 10 is surely the most succesful projects, for example, it got noticed by Kevin Saunderson and put on his X-Mix compilation album.

Bio Jamez:

Dutch producer Jamez has had a hand in more good records than most of us have had hot dinners. Apart from the by-no-means trifling matter of co-producing  house record – 51 Days’ ‘Paper Moon’ – he’s also been at the birth of the Trancesetters, the splendidly-named Tata Box Inhibitors, P.I.M.P., Loophole, Amfibian, Mindfunk and an ever-expanding list of inventively-spelt production credits. You’d wonder, looking at the fellow’s discography, whether he ever got any kip (we’ve been assured by his family that he does).

Jamez, for those that haven’t been paying attention, was part of a Dutch triumvirate – the other two being Dobre and DJ Zki – that helped transform European house music in the early 90s. Working closely with Dutch outfit Touché Records, they produced a series of consistently great singles of wildly differing styles ranging from the jazzy (Jamshed), deep (51 Days) and the acclaimed harder style of Tata Box Inhibitors and Trancesetters. While most UK DJ's looked to the US for new records, oddly, lots of American DJs – Danny Tenaglia being a particular fan – championed this new European style (Underworld’s Darren Emerson was also an early supporter of Touché’s releases).

Like many a young European, Jamez was turned on to dance music via the burgeoning rap scene of the eighties, before hooking up with Dobre who, as luck would have it, had a small home-studio. Experiments in dance ensued. A meeting with DJ Zki at a radio station completed the Three Musketeers’ line-up. Early releases came out through fellow countryman Robin ‘Jaydee’ Albers’ First Impressions label, but it was through Touché Records – started with Dobre – that Jamez and his cohorts gained international recognition.
Both 51 Days’ mournful ‘Paper Moon’ and Trancesetters’ heavy-hitting ‘The Search’ were massive New York club hits. Plenty of others were staples in DJs’ boxes around the world, probably because Jamez has mastered the art of syncopated and punchy beats, mellifluous keyboards and catchy hooks. Soulful dance music, in other words. As a remixer, Jamez is no slouch, either, having turned in superb mixes of Paperclip People’s ‘The Climax’, X-Press 2’s strident ‘The Sound’, Humate's 'Choose Life' and a stunning rerub of Der Dritte Raum’s ‘Alienoid’, transforming it into a hypnotically textural house cut. The list goes on and on.

After more than 100 releases on world class labels, numerous remixes and many appearances on compilations, he definetly put his mark down.

As a DJ he also did his part. Flying from one city to the other, keeping the crowds shouting for more. His mix of techno and tech house takes the listener on a journey through unknown territories, well known hights and deep smooth plains.

After a well deserved sabbatical Jamez returned to the scene in 2008, where he hooked up with Soulboy. In the summer of 2009 Christian Smith (Smith & Selway) did a remix for Trancesetters 'The Search'. The track had big support from Hernan Cattaneo, James Zabiela, John Digweed and Adam Beyer. Together with Soulboy, they produced the track Surface Tension, which was in 2009 Kevin Saunderson's summers favourite and was frequently heard on Ibiza Global Radio. Not only he is frequently asked for remixes but 2010 will be the year of launching his own label Repressure Recordings together with Soulboy and his management team A&G Agency.
In 2012 Jamez left Repressure to focus all his attention on his label Rough Cut Records. The sister label of Touché records which he started in 1995. Aim of the label is to try to be a bit different then everyone else. A mixture between all electronic music styles is possible.

Apart from the by-no-means trifling matter of co-producing  house record – 51 Days’ ‘Paper Moon’ – he’s also been at the birth of the Trancesetters, the splendidly-named Tata Box Inhibitors, P.I.M.P., Loophole, Amfibian, Mindfunk and an ever-expanding list of inventively-spelt production credits. You’d wonder, looking at the fellow’s discography, whether he ever got any kip (we’ve been assured by his family that he does).

Jamez, for those that haven’t been paying attention, was part of a Dutch triumvirate – the other two being Dobre and DJ Zki – that helped transform European house music in the early 90s. Working closely with Dutch outfit Touché Records, they produced a series of consistently great singles of wildly differing styles ranging from the jazzy (Jamshed), deep (51 Days) and the acclaimed harder style of Tata Box Inhibitors and Trancesetters. While most UK DJ’s looked to the US for new records, oddly, lots of American DJs – Danny Tenaglia being a particular fan – championed this new European style (Underworld’s Darren Emerson was also an early supporter of Touché’s releases).
Like many a young European, Jamez was turned on to dance music via the burgeoning rap scene of the eighties, before hooking up with Dobre who, as luck would have it, had a small home-studio. Experiments in dance ensued. A meeting with DJ Zki at a radio station completed the Three Musketeers’ line-up. Early releases came out through fellow countryman Robin ‘Jaydee’ Albers’ First Impressions label, but it was through Touché Records – started with Dobre – that Jamez and his cohorts gained international recognition.
Both 51 Days’ mournful ‘Paper Moon’ and Trancesetters’ heavy-hitting ‘The Search’ were massive New York club hits. Plenty of others were staples in DJs’ boxes around the world, probably because Jamez has mastered the art of syncopated and punchy beats, mellifluous keyboards and catchy hooks. Soulful dance music, in other words. As a remixer, Jamez is no slouch, either, having turned in superb mixes of Paperclip People’s ‘The Climax’, X-Press 2’s strident ‘The Sound’, Humate’s ‘Choose Life’ and a stunning rerub of Der Dritte Raum’s ‘Alienoid’, transforming it into a hypnotically textural house cut. The list goes on and on.

After more than 100 releases on world class labels, numerous remixes and many appearances on compilations, he definitely put his mark down.
As a DJ he also did his part. Flying from one city to the other, keeping the crowds shouting for more. His mix of techno and tech house takes the listener on a journey through unknown territories, well known heights and deep smooth plains.
After a well deserved sabbatical Jamez returned to the scene in 2008, where he hooked up with Soulboy. In the summer of 2009 Christian Smith (Smith & Selway) did a remix for Trancesetters ‘The Search’. The track had big support from Hernan Cattaneo, James Zabiela, John Digweed and Adam Beyer. Together with Soulboy, they produced the track Surface Tension, which was in 2009 Kevin Saunderson’s summers favorite and was frequently heard on Ibiza Global Radio. Next to this small success the Samuel L. Session remix for their track “Induction” did very well in all the charts. He is frequently asked for remixes and in 2010 he launched the label Repressure Recordings. In 2012 he left the label in the capable hands of his two partners and started yet a new adventure.

Jamez & Plectric (the new name for Soulboy ) re-launched Jamez’s old label Rough Cut Recordings. The goal is to re-release the old Touché tracks on here with new 2014 remixes. Also the label is looking for new talent and tracks. Next to this the duo will release a few tracks and remixes on some very respected labels. First one in a long list is Trancesetters - The Search on Kling Klong Records. 2014 seems to become a good one for the duo!
