Curriculum Artistico di Lorenzo Iuracà (Livorno, 16/01/1991):
Formazione:

Lorenzo Iuracà  è un giovane cantautore, compositore e autore livornese.  
Dopo un primo approccio propedeutico e di educazione musicale, inizia il vero e proprio studio dello strumento e della musica d'insieme, frequentando la sezione di pianoforte alla scuola media sperimentale ad indirizzo musicale della sua città, dove grazie alla postazione occupata in orchestra, gli viene presto concesso il privilegio di studiare un secondo strumento: la batteria. 
Frequenta alcuni anni del corso accademico di percussioni al conservatorio P. Mascagni e continua la sua formazione studiando canto presso la Wos Academy di Livorno. 
Premi ed Esperienze professionali:
Nel 2010 per la categoria New Generation, vince Spazio d'Autore (ex premio Rino Gaetano). 
Accompagnato da gli Approssimativi  (band tutt'oggi al suo fianco) al Mei di Faenza, riceve il Premio Fiofa Rivelazione 2011  e per l'occasione presenta uno show case di brani propri. 

Nel 2012 è invitato ad esibirsi al Morgana e nel contesto delle iniziative collaterali del festival di Sanremo  è tra i selezionati del primo premio AFI (associazione fonografi italiani) Nuove Proposte.
Lo stesso anno è tastierista e voce dei Trolls ( gruppo fondatore prima di scindersi in New Impression e New Trolls) e prende parte alla realizzazione del cd antologico “Trolls Are Back”. 
Con la stessa band suona la colonna sonora del musical Pirates, interpretato da Luisa Corna ed è in tour con il cast per una stagione teatrale.
Invitato alla riunione della grande famiglia New Trolls, suona sullo stesso palco con Vittorio De Scalzi, Nico De Palo, Roberto Tiranti ecc.

Nel 2013 passa le selezioni della settima edizione di X Factor ed entra nel programma in squadra con Morgan.

Tra il 2013/2014  Lorenzo Iuracà ancora con gli Approssimativi , partecipano ottenendo un buon risultato in classifica, al  contest di radio Capital: Capitalent.

Nel 2016 compone ed interpreta il brano in gara per la contrada il Pozzo alla 59°edizione del Festival del  Miccio Canterino. Il brano viene diretto ed arrangiato da Andrea Benassai; la collaborazione del maestro darà nuova linfa alla creatività di Lorenzo, fino a rivelarsi una preziosa guida professionale ed umana

Nel 2017  per la stessa contrada e  festival è autore del brano diretto ed arrangiato da Luca Colombo ed  interpretato in gara da Carlotta Cortesi.

Altre attività:
Dal 2015 Lorenzo Iuracà è presidente dell'associazione Inediti per Interpreti e gestisce il Vinile spazio spettacoli dedicato agli artisti, dove vive la musica a 360 gradi.

I do 2 different shows. "A Day at the Beach" (monthly) is a 1-hour show featuring new surf music releases.  "The Clint Beachwood Show" (weekly) a 3-hour program, features 1960s and modern surf music plus non-surf songs... instrumentals & vocals.

Stay out for hours on end, but make sure you wear your sunscreen!

UNKLE KOOK established its roots in 2018, when five musicians coming from different genres came together with a common passion for surf music. The project was born in Bologna (Italy) and is founded by Andrea Faidutti (guitar), Alex Ascione (tenor sax), Manuel Franco (Drums), Fabio Arcifa (Bass) and Giuseppe Calcagno (Guitar).
In June 2021 their first single “Surf in Maremma” was released by the Brutture Moderne label, and in the same year they will release an EP entitled “Surf Beat”.
The single will get excellent reviews in numerous magazines and blogs and will be described by the magazine Now We Rise as “a trip around the world in three minutes”. UNKLE KOOK, since the birth of their project, have performed in several live shows across the Italian peninsula, making live concerts the core of their energetic and elegant style.
If surf music was a starting point, it certainly did not become a limit, leaving room for a composing style that is often surprising compared to the canons of this genre. The sound remains very electric, reverberated guitars and a sax that gets busy at breakneck speed, floating over a storming rhythm section.
UNKLE KOOK presents itself as an instrumental band, but in live gigs there is no shortage of songs sung with the typical harmonies of the 60s.
In December 2021, while their EP is out, they are already working on a new album in the Duna studio (RA).
