Stephanos Pantelas alias Elninodiablo began his musical journey collecting vinyl - He would play on the airwaves of pirate radio stations, eventually making the move from Cyprus to the booming electronic scene of mid-90s London. His DJing skills soon earned him a resident position in the booth of some of the hottest queer clubs of the time, including The End, Turnmills and Fabric - representing the likes of Horse Meat Disco, Salsoul Records, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Mulatu Astatke, Tegan & Sara, !K7, Strut Records and more over the years.

2021 saw the launch of acclaimed releases, Shadow Dancer‘, Dorothea’s Rainbow‘ and, Lunchbox Candy‘ that come with stunning music videos by Adam Munnings and remixes by Prins Thomas, Emperor Machine, Each Other, Ray Mang and Perel amongst others.

“When it comes to sound, I’m inspired by my natural surroundings and life experiences. I’m fascinated with how sound can be a lived-in encounter having transformative qualities for both the artist and the audience. I envision to create mini-worlds with each piece of music, transporting the listener into a journey that bridges the gap between the conscious and the unconscious. I love the thrill of free improvisation, feeding off my collabortors and the crowd’s energy to create something new and unexpected. I take these experiences in the studio with me and aim at creating from a point of not knowing. That’s where the magic happens.”

Man2.0 aka Mark Bailey, is no stranger to Paisley Dark Records. Having appeared on three previous releases in his guise of remixer, we are extremely excited and honoured to present his debut EP for the label, Red Shift.

Mark's original is a peak time melodic techno banger aimed directly at the head and the feet. No talking on the dance floor please !!!

Nein Records head honcho Tronik Youth, takes Red Shift deeper and darker with a relentless throb destined to leave a significant number of destroyed dance floors in its wake.

Again no stranger to the label, Steady State takes us on an intergalactic trip to a far off universe, bouncing from star to star whilst whistling sweet melodies back to earth.

When Disco Goes Wrong's Mindbender weighs in with a hefty slab of cosmic Italo grooviness, remaining fully focused on retaining the dance floor. Strobes and smoke at the ready !!!

Swedish artist The Machine Soul who's last release, Norra Linjen, was released here on Paisley Dark Records, has produced a totally unique take on the track with a retro breakbeat feel and old school sampled vocal and yet manages to catapult us somewhere in to the future.

One of Paisley Dark's fave producers, Mark Cooper aka Bedford Falls Players, ventures into early New Order territory with a Hooky style riff played high up the fret board and adding even more melody than would have been thought humanly possible.

Last but certainly not least is our good friends Jezebell who have produced a bouncing cosmic delight which is simply impossible not to dance to. One to get the party started whist out on the terrace enjoying the last of the sunshine.

Birds is the musical project of East London based DJ, Katie Wilkinson. Her music is melting pot of techno, 90s acid, electro and goth-y 80’s EBM and New Wave. It brings together acid bass lines with post-punk style guitars and off kilter vocals to create something refreshingly original. She has released on labels such as Höga Nord, Ombra International, NEIN, Hard Fist and Samo Records and her releases have received support from the likes of Erol Alkan. She has also received a lot of love for for her captivating live sets. As a DJ, as well as through her music she exercises a never ending desire to explore sonic possibility and switch up genres continuously. Her sets reflect these curiosities and have an extremely transcendent nature to them; you never know whether you'll find yourself dancing to churning low tempo industrial techno, high tempo acid bass lines, Italo, experimental breaks or something far and between these things. Nothing is too weird or intense for a Birds DJ set. She has a monthly radio show on Netil Radio (the fourth Tuesday of the month 5pm-7pm), which is a residency that she's had for the past three years.

Victor has been DJing since 1996, playing in most clubs and raves from the mid 90's to 2010 in his native Brazil, contributing and spreading the electronic music culture locally.  Producing and releasing music for different labels under the name ROTCIV in 2005 and in 2008 launches Mister Mistery, a label focused on Acid, Disco, House, Electro and Edits with classic influences from 80s and 90s with a truly contemporary edge and unique sound.

Victor is frequently DJing at the most exciting clubs and parties since 201 - From Berghain's Panorama Bar, Lab.oratory, Säule and Kantine to Cocktail D' Amore, Renate, Else, About Blank, Pornceptual, Kater, Buttons, Schwuz, Ipse and many more, while also travelling often between Brazil and Europe with his dynamic carefully selected sound. 

ROTCIV currently releases original tracks, edits and remixes on labels like: Luv Shack, Permanent Vacation, Funnuvojere, Freeride Millenium, Full Pupp, Polari Records, Unterton (Ostgut Ton), Live At Robert Johnson, Ombra International, Gop Tun, his own Mister Mistery and many more to come in the next months.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 16 years since Throne of Blood Recordings began. Originally conceived as a platform to release vinyl singles from NYC legends The Rapture, the label has grown and evolved into a stalwart of leftfield electronic music and a launchpad for some massively influential artists including Daniel Avery and Bicep.
This new yorker label never needed an excuse to celebrate, but hitting this milestone has made us contemplate our place in the world, reflecting on the relationships that have made Throne of Blood such an integral part of our lives and our legacy as an incubator for tomorrow’s most remarkable artists. So we’ve put together a series of anniversary EPs that bring our past and future together on the dance floor.
The first of four releases, Anniversary EP #1 features longtime friend and label collaborator Chloé Thévenin of Parisian powerhouse Lumiere Noire Records, label manager Max Pask in collaboration with Tigersushi mainman Joakim (for the first time since their killer edit of Evan’s Pyramid for Cultures Of Soul), NYC techno mainstay and Bunker affiliate Justin Cudmore, and Liona, a wildly talented producer from Ulaanbaatar.
Four musical points of view with one goal in mind: making people dance. And there’s loads more to come across four EPs dropping this Fall.
