Recorded in Berlin with a Xone 96, with Function’s signature sound design woven throughout, the mix bridges heavyweight classics and future-shaping material. Kicking off with Nastia Reigel’s massive new remix of his own Disaffected, it showcases three tracks from her upcoming debut album Identity (out September 26 on Infrastructure).

The selection runs wide: from Regis, Rødhâd, LSD, Nørbak, Nastia Reigel, Ignez, Rene Wise, Silent Servant, Alarico and UFO95 to unreleased gems by Filippo Scorcucchi - alongside Function’s own productions, edits and textures. A regular at Berlin’s Tresor, RSO and Berghain, he’s also left his mark as a producer with releases on a.r.t.less, Mitsubasa, Frenzy, and Sungate. Through his own imprint Transcend, he champions timeless sounds that cut across genres while keeping the focus on depth and groove.

This SPND20 Mix captures that spirit in motion: a live jam on the Ableton Push 3, weaving unreleased cuts and reworked remixes into a high-energy ride. Rolling drums, jazzy progressions, and waves of delay and echo pull Detroit and Dub techno into dialogue with tribal house and Latin/Cuban/African rhythms. Back on August 30th, the Motion Room at Fuse became a canvas for AgainstMe’s storytelling. Characterized by physical intensity, the set moved through hypnotic ambiance, a dub focus with patient tension, and saturated textures. He played the tone right for that night, with a selection paving the way perfectly for Psyk and Orbe, who carried the narrative forward in their own voices.
