The mighty DJ Godfather is back with a brand-new album. If you thought last year's 'Electro Beats For Freaks' was a bombshell you'll be blown away by 'This Detroit Thing Of Ours'.

DJ Godfather (Brian Jeffries) is one of the founding fathers of the Detroit Ghetto Tech scene but has gone on to be so much more over a career that spans almost 3 decades. Once again he breaks all the rules. The album features 46 tracks and like his last album, they segue into one another, until the series of EPs on vinyl (and digital) which will follow featuring full-length versions and different mixes of some of the album's tracks.

The third track “What Up” Featuring Parkhouse is an energetic tune with the signature sound that is known for. Delivering a vibrant mix of the Detroit sound and techno. For those wanting an insight into Ghetto Tech, head to track 38, 'It's Ghetto Tech' featuring Dan Diamond which draws a line under the many questions posed to Godfather over the years about the genre.

LA’s David Castellani presents ‘Phrenesis’, a 7 track expedition through techno, electro and ambient. LA based modular synthesist David Castellani welcomes the next extended play to his brimming back catalogue. ‘Phrenesis’ is the fifth release on his own Noetic imprint and brings with it an expansive insight into the production tastes and skills of Castellani. Throughout the LP we’re exposed to a range of both familiar and new styles from David including ambient, electro and of course, techno. 

‘Feather Plate’ is a classic Castellani cut with a bouncing bassline and reverberating percussion that creates a hypnotic, driving groove.
