Preparing to throw down in an exclusive b2b mountainside set with the legendary Anja Schnieder, Sasse steps up with a superb 60 minute mix of deep house, techno and Italo disco. If you didnt know already, i-D Mix is throwing down at this years Snowbombing Festival with wicked line up of internationally revered DJs and we've got two very fine mixes to get you in the mood. Part one came in the form of a 60 minute through deep techno house and Italo disco and part two from Cologne based Jennifer Cardini. The french born DJ and producer will be bringing her signature deep, emotive and cinematic style of mixing to the Austrian mountains of Mayrhofen in an exclusive back to back set with Stuttgart based Konstantin Sibold. For our next vinyl release, La Fleur returns by gracing us with her signature touch on a stellar EP entitled 'Hedione' including a remix from the one and only Camea. Over the span of three tracks La Fleur takes us on a tour through the many arrays of her style, blending retro concepts into future hits.

The title track 'Hedione' kicks things off with a low slung bass line, luminous shimmers and a ghostly vocal culminating in a super slick late night ride while 'Bloomer' takes a more energetic approach with a classic acid line and spooky vocals laid over a hypnotic groove of crisp analog percussion. Rounding the EP out is 'Longevity' and it's the headiest of all three embracing nostalgic melodies that induce the cerebral moments you lose yourself and time ceases to exist. Camea steps up to remix 'Longevity' and nails it with a masterfully done revision keeping all the beauty and engagement of the original but taking it into her own trademark space designing with a heavier palette of drums resulting in a heated trek into the sublime.

Solid Steel - the world’s longest running mix series - returns with a special two-hour mix from Ben UFO.

Speaking to us about the mix, Ben said: “This is the set I played at last year's Meakusma Festival. It's been one of my favourite events for the past three years running, and I've programmed a stage at the last two editions. Last summer I was joined by Kara-Lis Coverdale, Jay Glass Dubs and the Timedance crew - Batu, Ploy and Bruce. It's one of the only events I can think of where dance music co-exists with a broad range of experimental music in a way that feels natural, unpretentious and unforced. I love it there, and hopefully that comes across in this recording."

Created in 1988 by Coldcut, and broadcasting on the then pirate radio station Kiss FM, Solid Steel has been releasing mixes for the past 30 years, bringing the weekly shows to an end in December 2018 with a final guest mix from Juan Atkins (the first guest to appear on the show in 1988). Returning for 2019 in a new, more focussed monthly format, continuing Solid Steel’s long history of supporting the best of both established and emerging artists.
