I got into DJing around 2006. I started out on CDs and vinyl, but turned to Ableton because it's simply a more powerful system. Always been into diverse styles of music, so while my sound definitely is rooted in house and techno, I take influences from all kinds of music really; disco, electro, dub, dubstep, IDM, the occasional drum'n'bass, all kinds of rock, metal, avant-garde, ska, jazz, nu jazz, big beat.... you get what I'm talking about: good music is good music and I don't care what label is stuck on it.
