'But thy eternal summer shall not fade'. What a beautiful mantra it is! We mean who in their right mind wouldn't want an ever-lasting summer to just trickle on and on! With a name inspired from Shakespeare's famous Sonnet 18, the Shall Not Fade (SNF) crew have been providing the globe with dope dance for more than 2 years now.  Boasting a clique featuring the likes of Mall Grab, DJ Boring, Baltra and Anthony Fade, these guys are sitting high and mighty in club land.
 
The latest instalment is the SNF019 pack, brought to by Silk 86 (soundcloud). Consisting of Londoners Finn Casey and Thomas L, this duo breed a warm, percussive-laden take on house. Think that sort of house that relaxes yet stimulates all at once.
 
Kicking the EP off comes 'The Shine' a lo-fi jazz enthused deal. Featuring an old school, motown-esque vocal snippet, this one's dominated by bongo hits and squelchy keys, a tune to set the mood for an evening of jive.

Next is 'Rhapsody', the tune we're ever so chuffed to premiere. I'd coin this one a whirling disco/house infusion. A track that'd almost certainly be well received at any dance occasion, it exudes positivity. Beginning with rustling hi hats, airy synth tones and bell chimes we're sucked in headfirst.Joining the audio comes a muffled female vocal loop worming its way into the score. At this point I don't feel the need to describe the number any further, as it spirals on for 6 and a half minutes in glee!
 
As we topple over to the B side, we're met with the appropriately titled 'The Other Side'. With an authentic acid flavour, this tune's a spacey breeze. Consisting of rapid-fire keyboard and scuttling percussion, this track carries an uber-cool lounge feel.
 
And capping it all off is a rework of the aforementioned tune from a state compatriot of mine in Mall Grab (Jordan Alexander). Hailing from the coast of New South Wales, Australia..it's been pretty hard to miss this young mans antics over the past year or more. Based now in London, Mall Grab gigs relentlessly across Europe, holding down slots at some of the largest electronic gatherings known to man. Adding his signature, stark hi hat's and fluctuating tech stabs, 'The Other Side' is gifted a new lease on life. Played loud and clear in a club room, this will certainly send crowds into rapture! Point of the story, stay aligned with the Silk 86 boys and their close pals at Shall Not Fade and bask in a great bundle of dance.

The A1 track on @felipe-gordon's new EP with @Quintessentials, (and our premiere), "Su Casa, Mi Casa", initiates with a shortly-looped keystab reminiscent of Purple Velvet's "Back On The Boulevard" and shuffling hats and claps. Shortly after, a low-hanging bassline and Spanish talking vocals join a jazzy run of piano licks, creating a nice midtempo house groove. It's a combo representative of the producer's aesthetic; syncopated and quirky beats mixed with hardware synths and jazz samples.

Drum machines, electric pianos, and catchy vocal samples take center stage on Georgi Barrel’s “Rhyme Goes On,” a nostalgia-soaked 12” on the Istanbul/Barcelona-based record label Petra. Joining a catalog of quality releases by Niclas Kannengiesser, Ugur Project, and label owner, Eren Erdol, PTR018 fits nicely into the label’s ethos of releasing timelessly-good music with little care for the boom and bust cycle of passing trends.

On both "Rhyme Goes On" and "Recycle," Barrel works to reinterpret tried-and-true sounds and combine them in new and exciting ways. Its mission accomplished in our minds as both originals (and their remixes) hold their own in our crates next to recent favorites and re-discovered classics. Smart, swift arrangements keep things interesting as sampled raps repeat over jazzy chords, dusty drums, and rolling bass lines. On remix duties for "Recycle" is German veteran Hodini, a Bolting Bits favorite with standout EPs on Money$ex and Wolf Music and previous remixes on Toy Tonics and Tenderpark. Stretching out the original arrangement, Hodini turns "Recycle" into a DJ's dream that rides out a brilliantly simple groove that does away with the original vocal in favor of sultry chords and steady drums.

For the rework of the title track, Petra stayed in-house, tapping up-and-comer Kerem Akdag to add some synth-laden goodness to the rough and raw original. By subduing the original vocal sample, Akdag lets his synthesizers do the talking. Lush pads, subtle bass, and delay-soaked leads come together in a compelling arrangement that begs for a replay after its reasonably quick runtime. The various elements weave together to make every changeup feel like a familiar surprise as they take turns leading the track.

Setwun - Inner West Wind Up

First V/A sampler 12" on Deeptrax Records is called "Deep Series 1". After repeatedly receiving demos from likemind artists from all over the world,they found several outstanding & beautiful tracks that would fit perfectly together on a great sampler for home listening or proper DJ massacre.
Mcm aka Aleks starting off with a minimalist analogue techno groover with heavy stereo-panned disorienting spaced out sounds for losing control. That flows into a great atmospheric acid track from newcomer Lowe Ake User. Next to that and premiered here, the mysterious 1989 with a perfect groover called "Merger" in perfect Mr Fingers style ...
The B side of this EP is more focused on deep waving minimalistic house music. One half of tsempoo named Tserg already did his wonderful debut EP on Deeptrax. Together with a friend he releases music under his second alias named 'tsempoo'. The multi-talented Rich P, who will do multiple releases on Deeptrax ending the EP with a simplistic though wonderful handcrafted techno. An EP full of heavy drum rhythms, moody synth lines and ambient soundscapes throughout, where discerned dancefloors meets the chosen ones. The mountain region was home to a flurry of short rocky pathways which went beneath the towering giants that loomed above. Carved into the rock these man made holes created an intricate crossing without the need for vertical climbing and exploration amidst the peaks. Chuwanaga with young French artist Koji Ono, composer and producer of
these four precisely crafted gems, recording everything by himself.

Brilliantly mixed by Greita from Disques Flegon, his first EP Incognito is the
product of a lot of influences, from Metro Area vibes to the original Britfunk
sound. With an inner sense of elegance in the arrangements - something we
may link to his Japanese heritage? - The whole EP brings musicality back on
the dancefloor.

We believe this could be the beginning of a great story for this talented
