Galway Kinnell reads "Wait"

I gave the brilliant Ben Folds a copy of 'Black Hole Blues and Other Songs from Outer Space' by astrophysicist Janna Levin (http://eepurl.com/bYXz6z), highlighted a passage for him, and he set it to song.

The real magic begins at 5:03, but it's marvelous to witness the orchestral arrangement improvisation building up to it, so I've kept that in. 

Recorded at the Beacon Theater in New York City, May 4, 2016.

This version of Gloomy Sunday is part of the Campfire Stories collaboration project. The 'more stories...' link will guide you to the album which is expected to be ready for mastering in 2020.
Vocals by Irina (  @irina-951237464 ). I found her acapella and I 'saw' a movie unfolding when I listened to it (many times). Her interpretation is the best outthere and I hope my music emphasizes that some more.

"For Anton Vishio" (2019) is a composition for clarinet, flute, and piano. Anton Vishio is a composer, theorist, and pianist who was, to me, a kindred spirit - not only through his curiosity and celebration of new music that has and remains very important to me and work, but also through his uncanny ability to connect music of the past with what is happening now. He remains a dear friend, and this piece is dedicated to him.

For anonymity purposes, I will not name the incredible performers of this composition (unless they want to be identified, in which case I will list who they are...!) and its date of premiere. This is only for your ears.
