Keith and Sven had a cool idea for a song. They knew it would be epic and make people feel all sorts of emotions. But then, they got sidetracked with other musical ideas and projects that were just as cool. So, they left their original idea unfinished and it got lost in their studio. The melody of the incomplete song was stuck in their heads, always reminding them of what they could've done. They felt bad about not finishing it, but they just didn't have the motivation. Despite that, BrainStorm kept making awesome tracks and exploring new sounds. But the unfinished song was always there, bugging them and reminding them of their failure to finish it. Time passed, years even, and BrainStorm was going through their old music when they found a new inspiration - Ethereal. And that changed everything..

Our musical composition takes inspiration from our experiences as an artist immersed in the dynamic atmosphere of the Fullmoon Festival, a biennial extravaganza in the Goa/Techno scene here in Germany. 

This event holds much more significance than just being a gathering; it serves as a thriving community of individuals and families who actively engage in this movement. While we often refer to them as "Neo-hippies," their essence surpasses any particular label.

What truly fascinated Sven and I about this community is the enchantment that permeates every aspect of their existence. They not only revel in dance and celebration but also exhibit genuine care for one another. It warms our hearts to witness the way they look after each other, especially the children. They go above and beyond by providing oversized, adult-sized ear protection to shield the delicate ears of the little ones. They make a concerted effort to bring the children along during appropriate hours, when it's not excessively crowded and the music is somewhat subdued, creating a collective dance amidst these meticulously adorned realms.

These individuals are more than just acquaintances; they form a tight-knit tribe. They share not only sustenance but also their sorrows, happiness, and life narratives. 

Together, they embark on a journey along the "Goa Highway," traveling from Hamburg to Berlin, tracing the festival's path. Not just limited to the Fullmoon Festival, this nomadic tribe can be discovered at Antaris, Fusion, and Spiritual Healing...

all of these events draw their presence.

With our composition, we strive to capture the very essence of this community, their spirit of unity, and their profound connection to the festival. 

Through music, we endeavor to convey the enchantment and strong sense of togetherness that define the Fullmoon Festival and the remarkable individuals who contribute to its special aura.

Behind the track: Listen in to Keith's pattern. It starts with just the snare and rhythmic hats going on a nice hypnotic ride. The break comes, and in comes the kick. 

With the beat now up and running, it is a steady cut time groove, with an anchoring kick pattern, that sticks with the bass, Queensryche-style of notoriously having the Bass and bass drum always hit together.

And it ends.... the exact oppiste of the snare intro, now it is only the kick and the hats.....on your way out.

Adopting a process music approach, I transcribed the columns, walls and balconies in the floor plan of one of their planned apartment buildings in Folkestone into a graphic notation that translates each architectural element into a discreet musical cell.
