Keith and Sven had a cool idea for a song. They knew it would be epic and make people feel all sorts of emotions. But then, they got sidetracked with other musical ideas and projects that were just as cool. So, they left their original idea unfinished and it got lost in their studio. The melody of the incomplete song was stuck in their heads, always reminding them of what they could've done. They felt bad about not finishing it, but they just didn't have the motivation. Despite that, BrainStorm kept making awesome tracks and exploring new sounds. But the unfinished song was always there, bugging them and reminding them of their failure to finish it. Time passed, years even, and BrainStorm was going through their old music when they found a new inspiration - Ethereal. And that changed everything..

Nestled in the northeastern region of Washington State, Penrith serves as the backdrop for the formative teenage years of Keith. Formerly known as Penrith Farms.

This place spans 220 odd acres with the true origin of the Little Spokane River as its scenic backdrop. As you come into P1, parking lot, there is a waterfall and a year-round pond nourished by the pure waters of multiple natural Atesian springs. (fun fact: Where the springs are located, there is deep purple seaweed growing in abundance.) 

It reflects the serenity and harmony that permeate the landscape, inviting you to immerse yourself in the splendor of nature. 

The centerpiece of Penrith is P1. The majestic lodge stands proudly with its vaulted ceilings, wood fireplace, and views that showcase the beauty of the surroundings.  

It serves as a sanctuary where one can find solace and inspiration, connecting with the essence of the land.  Surrounding the lodge, various out-buildings and cabins add to the charm and versatility of this exceptional property.  Each structure holds its own story.  (trust me, there are 1000's)

Our musical composition takes inspiration from our experiences as an artist immersed in the dynamic atmosphere of the Fullmoon Festival, a biennial extravaganza in the Goa/Techno scene here in Germany. 

This event holds much more significance than just being a gathering; it serves as a thriving community of individuals and families who actively engage in this movement. While we often refer to them as "Neo-hippies," their essence surpasses any particular label.

What truly fascinated Sven and I about this community is the enchantment that permeates every aspect of their existence. They not only revel in dance and celebration but also exhibit genuine care for one another. It warms our hearts to witness the way they look after each other, especially the children. They go above and beyond by providing oversized, adult-sized ear protection to shield the delicate ears of the little ones. They make a concerted effort to bring the children along during appropriate hours, when it's not excessively crowded and the music is somewhat subdued, creating a collective dance amidst these meticulously adorned realms.

These individuals are more than just acquaintances; they form a tight-knit tribe. They share not only sustenance but also their sorrows, happiness, and life narratives. 

Together, they embark on a journey along the "Goa Highway," traveling from Hamburg to Berlin, tracing the festival's path. Not just limited to the Fullmoon Festival, this nomadic tribe can be discovered at Antaris, Fusion, and Spiritual Healing...

all of these events draw their presence.

With our composition, we strive to capture the very essence of this community, their spirit of unity, and their profound connection to the festival.

To induce lucid dreaming, which is the ability to control your dreams, it requires practice. 

It involves understanding the different stages of sleep, manipulating REM (rapid eye movement) cycles, and keeping a record of your dreams. This process starts with understanding the fundamentals of sleep and gradually learning techniques to increase the likelihood of having lucid dreams.

Here are some suggestions for maintaining a dream journal:

1. Develop the habit of asking yourself upon waking, "What was I dreaming?" This should be done before any other thoughts creep in, as they may interfere with your dream recall.

2. Stay in the same position you woke up in, as any physical movement can make it harder to remember your dream.

3. Avoid thinking about the day's concerns, as this can also erase your dream memories. If you can't remember anything, keep trying for several minutes without moving or thinking about anything else. Usually, fragments of the dream will start to come to you.

4. If you still can't remember anything, ask yourself, "What was I just thinking?" and "How was I just feeling?" Your thoughts and emotions can provide clues to help you retrieve the entire dream.

5. Hold onto any clues or fragments that you remember and try to piece together a narrative. Start by recalling a scene and then ask yourself what happened before that, and before that, effectively reliving the dream in reverse. The beginning of the Dream Labs series, And it indeed has an "arrival" feeling.

During the development stage, Alphamind took the lead and initially sent the working files to Keith. This contribution became an essential part of the release, which was carefully curated around the theme of "Dream Labs" and Jarno became the Featured Artist for this release. 

"What does that even mean Keith?"

- That's a great question, Notable individuals such as Lost Frequency, Sum-1, Der Waldläufer, Ambient-Konnekt, Sly Puppy, Capn Foo, Lost Paradigms, and Alphamind all actively contributed to the project which ended up being a "mini-album, or an EP of sorts. Like a secret council of SoundClouders. :D

Alphamind and BrainStorm Construction Phase: 90 days

Yesterday, Dr. Robert Williams of the Dream Testing and Research Centre held a scheduled press release to unveil the latest findings of the project.

The doctors made significant progress in their Alpha Wave Research Training (AWRT). In their study, they gathered a group of dream testers consisting of Olympic athletes, clairvoyants, and specially trained individuals, and conducted several carefully designed "Dream Dynamic Experiments".

According to Dr. Williams, the Alpha group has successfully established a direct link to the subconscious mind and has the ability to manipulate its input and content. In a project titled "Awakening" within the Alpha Mind program, they have cracked the code of the brain, allowing the listener to hear the brain's electricity in an audible, sonic form.

During the Awakening project, the dream phase was monitored and controlled through a computer interface, enabling the dream researcher to essentially shape the dreamer's experience. "It was like being able to do everything you have ever wanted," said the Swedish gold medallist, describing her experience. The Alpha Team also conducted several other experiments, including "The Neptune Experiment" and a signal experiment called "Deeep Inside".

The Beta Team released a research finding called "Sun & Rain", which explores how external projections can be interpreted by the mind as its own thoughts.

Dr. Williams emphasizes that the entire project is in its early stages, but expects amazing results in the coming months. According to NASA, the planetary positioning in the next few weeks will greatly enhance the extra-sensory abilities of some individuals, like those at the DTRC, magnifying their capabilities 175 times beyond their normal state.

You will have this feeling that the "destruction" that glides by you, is like some form of a cerebral floating Chinese-style dragon. it is profound as if you make eye contact with it. And it takes a moment to let that settle in.

Let's dive into the topic of perception:

Our perception, whether it's what we see, hear, or feel, is heavily influenced by our expectations. In a sense, what we perceive is often what we most expect. Expectations take on many forms, with context being one of the most significant factors. 

To demonstrate the powerful influence of context on perception, let's perform a quick exercise:

time yourself reading aloud the following two sentences and note the difference in speed:

As I gaze upon the landscape ahead from this vantage point, much of ancient history seems obscured beneath the sandy terrain.

Legends persist of a once-magnificent kingdom in this dusty expanse. Agade, the crown jewel of empires, where a wise monarch named Naram-Sin recognized that true strength lies in compassion.

As our bird hovers above canyons and remnants, I envision the grandeur that once stood tall. The tension held in the formidable, foreboding bass line, occasionally stirred by the echoes of bygone eras.

In a staccato rhythm, we seek to recreate the concept of towering ziggurats reaching out to the distant gods, streets pulsating with the presence of scholars and art from every corner, united in their pursuit of answers.

Under Naram-Sin's guidance, knowledge, rather than conquest, became Agade's most prized export.

Its renown grew through the exchange of insights, not victories on the battlefield.

But as the poets gently remind us, nothing precious can endure forever. Time and the tides of war slowly eroded the walls of Agade, as heard at the 3:34 mark.

Yet, perhaps the spirit of Naram-Sin still lingers here, a testament to the nurturing of creativity instead of the clash of steel. It serves as a reminder that when leaders foster innovation rather than invasion, even deserts can flourish.

So let us share with those who lend an ear, tales of how kindness, not brute force alone, elevates a land to glory.

The Story Behind: As this piece came into life, we were HEAVILY influenced, by Jesper Kyd,and the @ac-initiates franchise. It tied in perfectly to dealing with PTSD, through the eyes of an Operator in the same locations.

Agade 3 (Self-Remaster Version)

Approximately thirty years ago, the music scene went through a significant turning point that forever changed the course of Ambient and Chillout music, courtesy of metal music.

Keith, a drummer with an unwavering love for the genre, embarked on a journey to Germany. It was during this time that the whole "chillout" phenomenon began to emerge. Keith found himself without drums, a band, or a place to practice for many years. Most of the time, he had none of it.

Little did he realize that this would mark the start of something truly extraordinary.

In Germany, Keith joined forces with a band called Afraid of Reality. It all began when Keith, an MP in Wiesbaden, crossed paths with Twist, who served in Aviation in Wiesbaden. One day, Twist happened to hear Keith playing his drums in the barracks. This fateful meeting between Keith and Twist would eventually lead to a collaboration that laid the foundation for the formation of BrainStorm Operations. Without Afraid of Reality, BrainStorm Operations would have never come into existence.

Within the ranks of Afraid of Reality, Keith not only showcased his powerful drumming skills but also revealed his talent as a gifted songwriter.

His remarkable ability to craft captivating lyrics added depth and emotion to their music. Alongside Keith was Twist, an exceptionally skilled guitarist, creating a formidable and unstoppable combination.

The original lineup of Afraid of Reality consisted of a group of exceptional individuals, each bringing their unique talents to the forefront. Alan Sutton, with his distinct style and vocals, breathed life into every track. Chuck Estright and Twist Massey poured their hearts and talents into the guitars, producing electrifying melodies. David Shaffer skillfully held the bass, providing a solid foundation that anchored the band's sound. And, of course, Keith Alban, the founding member, infused their compositions with thunderous beats and heartfelt lyrics.

But the story doesn't end there. To this day, Keith and Twist continue their musical journey as a dynamic duo known as The Beautiful Negative. Throughout the years, they have remained dedicated to creating metal and hard rock music, carrying with them the spirit and energy of the original lineup.

The collaboration between Keith and Twist has left an indelible mark on the metal and hard rock genres. At first, we may find ourselves slightly out of sync, but eventually, we discover our harmony. Piece by piece, everything falls into place, and the discord fades away, paving the way for a powerful momentum.

This is also true in the realm of human experiences. Consider the stories of two individuals, Seneca and Musonius Rufus, both exiled to different islands for unjust reasons. While Seneca succumbed to despair and devastation, Musonius took a different approach.

Although Musonius faced a challenging and isolating banishment, he saw an opportunity to make a positive impact. Rather than passively enduring his fate, Musonius actively sought ways to enhance the situation. He shared his knowledge with the locals and even helped them discover a natural spring, providing fresh drinking water for everyone.

The music takes listeners on a journey, mirroring the adjustments made by pilots to maintain appropriate airspeed and descent rate. Destinations - Closing Chapter

We plan to play a film as our show begins, with our live performance on drums, percussion, sampling, and guitar accompanying it. The intentionally "crappy" quality of some parts, like the hook, is because the concept is post-apocalyptic, and the quality should be similar to that of a telephone recording.

In addition to the film's soundtrack, we will play live extreme high fidelity parts that complement the entire composition. Our performance will take place in a chapel, with light shining through the stained glass windows.

The post-apocalyptic blues concept features a bard who survived the end of the world and roams the wastelands. This conceptual bard was inspired by a conversation with a cherished human.

This composition is filled with various shades of color that are beyond our perception. They vibrate at frequencies that are not part of the ordinary spectrum. But amidst this symphony of hues, a particular shade stands out, and that is the color Violet. 

The color Violet has always been associated with a regal nobility intertwined with a cosmic enigma. Ancient sages like da Vinci discovered that within the luminous light of Violet, they could purify their inner lenses. They channeled their creative endeavors and allowed profound insights to flow from higher realms through the stained glass windows of their places of worship. 

Even Wagner, who was attuned to the undulating vibrations of Violet, harnessed its power to open sonic gateways. He composed his masterpieces in rooms that were painted a deep shade of violet.
On the spiritual spectrum, melting the reds and blues,  Violet represents the radiant glow of complete consciousness, where the self and soul find harmonious union. 

Its musical frequency, resonating at the note of B, finely tunes the pathways between worlds, beckoning transcendence beyond the confines of conventional boundaries. 

It serves as a guiding light, illuminating the frontiers of darkness.

Violet, the highest point of the visible light spectrum, represents the achievement of flawlessness by refining the consciousness of the earth. This is supported by wisdom and compassion. It has a calming effect on agitated minds, and in moments of calmness, it restores sleeping abilities and unlocks full potential.

Across diverse cultures, Violet underscores the elegant equilibrium of the universe, where opposing forces find unity through enlightened Love. 

May this harmonious trinity of color, sound, and vision serve all who embrace its redemptive energies, unveiling the profound intricacies of life within the boundless expanse of the Sea of Tranquility.
